This probably isn't a serious compo, but i'll post for fun anyway. This is a little project i was doing a while ago. The first character is me and my pet. Plus my command ship, Expendable. The other two are supposed to represent two admins from the dc. The gangster bot is rikus, and the larger monster like one is muz behind the eyes. I'll do another one if this doesn't count.

Looks very Megaman-ish, especially Megaman X/Zero-like with a a bit of Megaman 7 in there too.
Edit: actually wait a second, that does look familiar.
Aha, busted. I knew I remembered those feet from somewhere.
But then again, this is the Daily Click. It's alright. Maybe if you posted this in Pixelation or somewhere I would take issue with this... but it's alright. Nothing personal, I'm not going to get on your case about tracing or anything. I just had the feeling that I've seen this before from somewhere and just had to point it out.
But also, well.. I really discourage doing this though.. I think it's better to learn to make sprites without editing over existing ones. You don't really learn much by tracing. You should try to make sprites from scratch and develop your own style, you'll learn much more that way. I used to trace over the same Mega Man sprites myself when I first started out. That's probably how I noticed it right away. It wasn't until I tried to make sprites from scratch without tracing, that I actually learned how to draw-- but.. then again, actually never mind forget it... I probably shouldn't bother starting an argument over this.
Well... still, it's not really a good habit to trace, if you ever want to get good at spriting (or even drawing) anyway. It's probably a good idea for me to point that out at least. I'm not trying to offend anyone or start an argument here. But yeah, I wouldn't recommend it for future reference. You'll be better off if you start out drawing from scratch on your own even if you aren't that serious about it. Tracing is never a good habit.
perhaps one should read a post more closely before trying to bash it.

I was playing around with these sprites to see what i could do with my own. Not seriously try to do anything with it. Just poke some friendly fun at the admins, like i said, but anyway, i'll see if i cant find something else floating on my computer. And i said not a serios compo, because it wasn't getting that much forum attention, even though its on the front page. My bad.

Here, i did this quick sketch in 10 minutes. (Insert bad, dissenting argument that i can't really put together about my previous submission here. Since i feel a bit ticked off and want to just forget about it. Don't really know why i should be either, oh well.)
(It's also called, customs, should have said that in the post, but i thought that would have been obvious, you really didn't need to tear it apart and analyze it. If people wanted an explanation, I would've given one and done a new submission, like i just did.)

Doing a test, I drew 2 pictures already and both of them didn't work. I want to delete this post because I was just testing why I couldn't post oekaki!
Seems like I couldn't post pictures when I draw using my Macintosh computer...

Thanks J.R.P.! 20 cool points for you!
I've been drawing for a really long time and I haven't improved much lol. Not bad for using Painter (oekaki). Drew everything using watercolor (keep clicking the thing that says "solid" until "watercolor"). The line art is all on layer 1(top) and the coloring is on layer 0(bottom). Hope more people submit more drawings.
I've been playing with flash for a while. I'm not very original and looks like Primula from Shuffle but this is how my Phantasy Star Universe character looks. I chose random colors and the other eye should have been closed since it's getting poked.
Nah, I'm not working on Phantasy Star Universe. The game I'm working on is going to be cool and somewhat funny. It's going to be a side scroller RPG like Castlevania. My character is not going to be playable. You get to be Donald (Ronald McDonald), Keyboard Crasher(Angry German Kid) and Teiretere (Nerunerunerunewa). Still working on it's hard engine. I'm trying to make a menu screen. That's should be the hardest and first thing to make in my opinion before we could test gameplay.
Sure thing, you could help make the title screen for me. You could try to make it scary, it'll make the game even funnier because the characters are pretty stupid. I like funny fangames.
