I like it, but Id call that a stylized bouncy run, not a walk. I say this because I always make things run like that, as I'm crap at walk-animations. lol
i said this in the thread about the squirrel animation too, but two very close colours aren't noticeable so you can get away with using less colours if you really don't mind it looking a bit flat close up.
But if you do want to add lots of colours i would say it would look better if you can actually see a difference from a distance.

what i'm saying is that you can use less colours and have it look exactly the same since the tiny details are not noticeable at a distance.
wow guys, thanks for all these positive comments. when i totally finish his animation i will post them up here agian (i kinda stoped since i made them) but i really diddnt think i was going to get all positive comments. you guys were a big help and i look forward to posting more sprites on this site now.

Are they shaded in any way? Can't tell due to the size, if they are shaded I would recommend using more contrast between hues, think the latter NES games. That would make him awesome!
I like the run/walk animation! Incidently, that animation could work either running or walking - the character speed wouldn't matter too much, it just adds to the cartoony look of the character. Maybe it might be worth experimenting with little dust clouds everytime his feet hit the floor, just to add to the effect? Nice work
