Hey all, I just wanted to drop a small 'hi' and introduce myself.. And what best way to introduce yourself than to show your artwork, say? I've always been doing Click and Play games (started out in ZZT / Megazeux). I work professionally as a visual designer but I get my periods of home sickness: OLD SCHOOL GAMES!! I played the Noitu Love 2 demo and it really got my juices flowing so hard I decided to dust of my old MMF2 package.. Here's some of my art, done without ref in photoshop..
Google tells me that King Bradley is some character from Full Metal Alchemist - I can see the resemblance
*ugh* I'm working more stylized than I'm used to on the chars for the small game I'm making. It's much easier trying to do realism than doing good stylization. Here's a small, smaaall teaser.
Nice work mate! You've definately got your colouring style down over mine without a doubt. You have inspired me to improve my colouring techniqure now... SEE WHAT YOU DID?!?
Thanks Impresario. You know, 4 years ago I was convinced I would never be able to learn how to draw. Well... 4 years of practice and this is the result (Here's how it looked 2 years ago: http://cgmonkey.u42.surftown.se/Sketchbook/2years.jpg )
Anyway, here's more from my small game. This is just under an hour, a quickie before I go to bed.. Been practicing 2d animation for most of the day today ... GOOD TIMES.
WOW! you got talent dude iam into drawing like that, i do a lot of oekaki but i cant do my 100% with that, i might post some of my own character designs soon!
p.s. would you do promo pictures for somebodys upcoming game
p.s. again. whats the red stuff under neath the demon dude, is it his.....um......privates!
Thanks man! I would love to see some of your stuff. I checked up on oekaki, sounds like a cool idea, never heard of it before. I could do some promo stuff, as long as it's not going to be a hyper-realistic epic scene.
The thing is whatever you want it to be some see it as a deadly appendage and you see it as an STD infested penis. Hehe... Good Times.
I,ll post some designs real soon, but there no where as good as yours,
have you thought about joining a comic publisher like marvel or DC! They could use your skills
p.s. Oekaki is a japanese word which means art/paint
