I now have Vista (bad news) and have installed MMF 1.5. It worked once I had deleted a few quick time *.cox files (someone had suggested this) but there is a problem with naming and renaming active objects and backgrounds. Sometimes it inserts perculiar characters... wish I'd stayed with XP!

Revert back to XP somehow then! Just make sure you have everything important backed up first

Vista isn't that bad if you vista ultimate and love to overclock.
You could get a virtual machine software (there are plenty of them) and install XP on one and then run mmf.

I just got a new computer with Vista and some of my games don't work anymore. Mostly those which load levels at the start of the frame.
