Is it popssible to get a webpage to fit a certain size window in MMF2. for instance i want a web page to open in a window 400 wide and 250 high but only have a vertical scrollbar. If not it is no major hardship i'll just have to launch the default browser instead.

If I understood you correctly, then all you need to do is put that size box in MMF. However, there will only be no horizontal scroll bar if the webpage doesn't exceed that. I'm not expert on internet in MMF, however so someone else may come along and prove me wrong. Your question was a tad confusing...

web pages that stretch will only shrink to sizes that their content allows them too. take tdc for example. try it

Sorry - let me try and clear it up. If any of you own the PSP you will have options on the browser to change how the content is displayed. it can be displayed using normal mode which has all scrollbars, Smart fit and Auto Fit (i think) these arrange the content into a much more manageable layout.

Using the IE ActiveX is a VERY unrecommeneded thing because it requires an external software to be installed and depends on its current version. There are many changes in how IE7 renders in contrast to IE6, IE8 to IE7, IE4 to IE3, and IE5 to IE4. Many people who use another browser find upgrading their IE useless, as they don't use it. Moreover, Windows 95 doesn't come with IE (yay), and surprisingly it's not entirely dead by now.
Despite what people say, IE, WMP and other bundled software are not part of Windows and can be installed easily by removing a few files. I've done so and I'm uber-happy with my IE free computer.
Opening a web page in the default browser will make your users happier because you give them the choice of the browser and don't stick and smelly IE ActiveX in their face.

first of all i wouldnt recommend completely getting rid of IE liji. there are things that REQUIRE you to have ie (will only work in ie browser). and in such rare cases it would be a hassle to have to put it back on just for that. my computer still has ie and guess what!? my computer hasnt exploded yet -_-

theres nothing wrong with ie, its a matter of opinion (no matter how shitty the son-a-bitch is)

I never visit sites that support IE's single-browser-Web.
I'm using Firefox since 2004 and I uninstalled IE in early 2007, I never had ANY problem with that. My computer is safer when this virus magnet is no longer there, No application can use the IE ActiveX to load potentially unsafe websites or online ads, and my default browser is always opening instead of IE. Besides, it's extra few free megabytes.
I've uninstalled many of XP stuff that I do not use, such WMP (Not the codecs though, they're helpful), Animated Search Ass-istent, Windows Games (Solitare, Online games, etc.) and other software that I will never ever use any time. My Windows XP installation folder is about 40% of a normal installation, therefore it boots faster, run faster and leave more space to the important stuff. My stuff.

And just to show my hate to IE, I've developed my own collection of Web Browsers, that include:
Amaya
Minefield (Firefox 3.1 alpha)
Mozilla Firefox 3
NCSA Mosaic (YES)
Netscape 4 (YES!)
Netscape 6 (YES!!)
Opera 9.5 (And Internet Channel on my Wii if it counts)
Safari 3
Safari 4

Sorry Bill, your "mandatory" browser is not there, not a single version of it.

Wow... LIJI you are one hard-core IE hater!

I use Safari because I love it on OS X and so I use it on Windows too - but yeah in all seriousness ActiveX controls should always be a last resort.

If you can cope with opening the page in the actual browser, please do it .

Firefox has a IE render engine right? So you can open IE sites in Firefox. LIJI is it easy to delete those windows games like solitaire? They are useless to me...

The IE tab plugin is basically the IE ActiveX.
Basically, to remove a protected system file, delete it from the following folders (In this order!):
c:\i386\ (Might not exist in some systems, if not, skip it)
c:\Windows_Folder\System32\dllcache\
And the original location.

To remove IE, do the process for each file located at C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ and mshtml.dll.
Alternatively, purchase the XPLite software that does the process automatically for you. (Free edition remove a few programs, but not IE.)
