While working on my mandatory-for-all-clickers Zombie game, I have hit a snag. We've determined that the level needs to be wider than standard 640 to accomodate for... things. To avoid complicated detector issues, I've decided to just do: Active is not over backdrop >> Set Y to Y of Active + 2. (Hey, it works.) however, when the level starts, and the Active is off-screen, it doesn't seem to want to follow the rule. When I run it in the level editor it works, but then when I run it in the window it flies downward, ignoring the platform. I unchecked inactive when far from window and tried all sorts of complicated things. It seems rather simple, and I'm kind of ashamed that I don't know how to fix it, but I've never run into it before.

you have to enable collisions off screen. otherwise it just drops and never collides with anything. its in the frame properties "handle background collisions even out of window"

ADURH! Thanks Cecil. I wonder why I've never had trouble with that. Or maybe I have, and I never solved it.
