i bought mmf2 developer finally and i have to say that apparently there's no difference between it and standard version. but after i took a look in the extensions, i noticed more like the trial object. Does everybody know what more features are in it? i watched the comparison from clickteam, but didn't understand

LOL. You should've checked before you paid for it

You're paying for one huge advantage though - that you could sell the game without asking Clickteam for their permission. Basically, if you're good enough at MMF, buying developer could earn you quite a bit of money without the hassle.

Also, it has a bunch of extensions. Mostly things like those reading from CD extensions, encryption, that kind of thing that appeals mainly to people who want to make a living on MMF.

This might lead to some confusion by reading only your post, but you don't need to ask Clickteam to sell anything you make in MMF2 Standard. All you need is to make sure that you slather their logo all over the place.

Well, yeah, but you also have to ask them for their permission to use the Clickteam logo, last time I checked. Though I think that's really to make sure you don't put their logo on hentai games and such.

What he's saying is that the point of Developer is that... it's designed for developers. The extra money you pay is put towards not having to give Clickteam credit when you create your game. You aren't really paying for anything physical.

It's only $370 ... If I had a credit-card and Construct didn't exist I'd order MMF2 Developer over MMF2 Standard in an instant.

no dude apparently you're the one who didn't understand my post, you spent 370$ in something you didn't need when there's way cheaper alternatives with the exact same features except for a few gimmicks you don't need, and you're telling me that you're a noob and that the reason why you bought mmf2dev was because you're preventing for when you get more experienced.
You either misunderstood me or you're being dumb.

theres no function difference between MMF2 standard and developer. The reason to buy developer is if you are a professional creating a professional, profitable project. If you're making freeware or shareware, or minor scaled 'for-profit' games, MMF2 standard is all you need. If you are running a computer games company who is developing in MMF2 (something that doesn't exist), then MMF2 developer is what you need.

Use it as a motivation to get good enough to make games you could sell

If I could afford it I'd buy MMF2 Dev over Standard. I don't think it's a dumb thing to do at all, though it's understandable if people wouldn't want to spend very much money for a few extra extensions and the no-splash thing. But I'd buy it just cause I want to maximize the potential for my game making. I may never use the extra functions, and I never plan on charging money for my creations, but I wan't to be able to.

It really isn't anybody's place to evaluate someone else's decision to buy dev over standard. And saying that his decision was dumb is a very, very bold thing to do, since your opinion is in every way subjective. Cause it is your opinion, not his. If he was buying MMF2 for you with your money you would be in place to call it a dumb decision, not otherwise. Athan is the only one who can decide if it was dumb or not. Very simple actually.
