I understand that people are sentimental about Mitch, yet how do you expect anything to change if you keep everything the same? If we want to attract more people into TDC's community then we need to improve things and bring the site up to todays standards. Not everyone in this world wants to remain in 2003!
I like things the way they are but i can see the community going slowly downhill in the future if we keep everything the same as it is now. Evolution, my friends!

I think not. It's still here, is it not? Why should it be any different in the future?
I say, let's quit wasting abundant amounts of time worrying about it dying and just make games and play games. After all, that's what this site it about. It's obviously not dying, since there are people here to worry about it dying. If it does, we'll worry about it then. It does no good to sit here and fret.
Waste your time making games instead! I know I'd rather play a cool game then read dismal predictions.
Perhaps i'm just business orientated in my thinking, yet i think it is very short-sighted to say "everything's fine now, so everything will stay the same in the future!" One day this site may find that more popular competition comes along, and then where would it be? Maybe i'm thinking all too doom-and-gloom, but i think it's true.
And for the record, i love this site and want time to stand still so it never has to change!

Sorry, but I couldn't help laughing a teeny bit at that.
Anyway, I never said it would stay fine. But honestly, honestly, it can be worried about if and when it ever does start to die, and it does no good to worry about it now. Competition?
This is a website! Does it really matter all that much?

Wasn't really intending to do anything more than pass the text file around to try and get some input and enthusiasm, but forgot to really distribute it.
I think Flava got one version of it, and some of the points were integrated into his early changes to TDC.
