Basicaly its when useing the active picture object to create backdrops out of a external file.
Its doing that allright...kind of.
What happens is the user clicks and it creates a backdrop at current array position, and makes the width 16*!6 to fit in the grid. BUT, the object doesnt apear until i press left right up or down to scroll. (its like: i need to refresh before i can show you the bg object) ive bin fiddling for hours now and im frustraited, becoz theres nothing i can see which is stoping it from working.
BTW i made a quick new app with no layers and it worked fine. but when i gave it layers they stoped apearing until the screen refreshed again. and i cant have it so everytime i lay a tile i have to press left, then right again just to see the tile..... CONFUSED.COM!
right, i just tryed somthing. i have 9 layers.
Hud, layer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and the grid layer.
If i put the picture object on the grid layer (the bottem layer) it works... BUT I DONT WANT IT ON THE GRID LAYER I WANT IT ON THE LAYER THAT YOUR CURRENTLY ON!!! wth's going on...

I had this similiar type of problem in mr.MapMaker 2.5, which is why I canceled the project. Only different what I had is, that the backdrops were flashing with all the time. Well as I have understood right of the clicteams help files, you can't layer backdrops. I'm not 100% sure if this is the fact, but as I translated it says so. So that's mayby it. If someone else knows it works and I'm wrong please tell me, but I think this is the fact.
I have proven new mathematic formula to be true...
Hey thanks guys. I did actaly sort the problem by hideing the layer then showing it. and it hapens so quickly you dont notice.
Just thoguht id mention if someone else came up against this anoying lil problem
