I know it's really early and all that but The drawing is so sketchy that when I tried editing it, it was nearly impossible! Sorry Joellie, but had my software been a little better it would've been so much easier to do this! and It's really hard with my software. Sorry, I really tried, but no luck. I know it means alot to you, but I just can't do it. I thought it would be fairly easy, but I guess it wasn't.

Joellie - Here's a solution for you:

Trace the sketch in a non-sketchy way using a separate piece of paper and a PEN (not pencil - a felt tip, art pen or biro will suffice).

Try and keep the lines as clean as possible, then scan at about 200 or 300 DPI. Then, you can either find someone who already has Inkscape or download it yourself (it's free, but I think it's about 70mb).

There should be an option for 'Trace Bitmap'. Use the grayscale trace option and tell it to stack the traces about 8 times. Turn gaussian blur OFF.

Click 'Start' or whatever it is, and you'll get a super-smooth trace. Make sure you delete the original image (you may need to move the traced version around, as it will now sit on top and obscure the original image). Save as PLAIN SVG format and import it into Photoshop.

Hmm, it doesnt really seem that hard. Flash was able to trace it quite easily btw. But still, painting it is going to be really time consuming. I would help you out but Im swamped. Anyway, my advice to you would be to keep everything in seperate layers so its easier to paint in PS. Thats what I did with these: http://www.create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=231418

It looks much better in the .psd: http://www.pfordee.com/psychophan7/PEKO.psd

I had no idea what to make of the background, so I didn't attempt it. It's all vector-work, so you can enlarge it and have a bigger, cleaner blank line space. You will have to adjust the locations of the end points on some of the vector paths if you enlarge it, though.
