Step 1:
Don't use active objects.
Step 2:
Use either System Background Objects or Layers.
Step 3:
Upgrade your computer, because unless you're using active objects, neither of the options in step 2 are slow.

i dont use actives in parallaxing,
i use layers, but the problem is, i have to many layers, and when i try to paralax it slows down, is there a different method besides using layers in mmf2 dev

All I can suggest is try using less layers. Lots of Parallax looks lovely but it can choke the system. Maybe switch to using the Background System Object (I think it's called) for parallax. It's not as easy to edit as using layers, but you can adjust the parallax speed at runtime and might be more effecient.
no, i have more than 3 layers for a reason...
the reso is 640 x 480, and it changes resolution mode when played, which doesnt effect the speed at all, no, my computer is a custom built, its pretty good.
