You heard me, you read the title. Post all, some, or just any of your characters you've created! I'll post some of mine soon. (Backgrounds and landscapes are acceptable but less preferred)
I love how you bothered to spell "characters" right but not "show" or "your".
Anywho, I have oodles of characters, but the only one I have a presentable presentation of at the moment is the OMC universe. Here's a summary of some of the characters: http://www.oldmanclayton.com/oldmanclaytonfdkseries.htm It's by no means a complete reference, but good enough for now.
I have a lot of other characters too, like the other members of the LardButt League.
Mister Rhinopsychi (second from left), for instance, can smell the future. ArcoIrisHombre and Mattresshinobi are there too, but they are secondary characters whose characteristics and even names I haven't developed very much. Balding Overweight Man is actually OldManClayton with a pillow stuffed up his shirt. There are also two other members of the LBL that aren't in that pic. The bad guy in BOM is a relatively new character, named Skinny Pretzel Stix.
The original bad guy of the OldManClayton universe was Dr. Jell O. Buns. I don't have a picture of him on my website at the moment, but he's pretty stereotypical. Has a top hat, monocle, and mustache. I wrote a theme for him on the piano... I could upload it later I suppose.
Then there's Scotty the Peanut Horse.
NinjaFish
I have a bunch of other characters from projects and concepts that I don't have enough done on to reveal or have forgotten over the years.
I did! Thankz! I used MS paint then edited it on PSP (Paintshop Pro. Not Playstation Portable. ) Yeah, he's one of my favorite characters (Out of too many)I've made.
Here's a few of my characters from this series lol
this is actually my screensaver. Sorry for the crummy pic...
And here are some characters from one of my other series
'Starscape Realm of the Unknown.'
Note: (chibi version- this is not what they actally look like)
I am REEEALLY obsessed with chibis.
Well, the main character of my game Massacre(Part 2 of the Onslaught trilogy) is Marco Fanwull.
<a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll109/DaWiiman1/?action=view¤t=MarcoFanwull.png" target="_blank">
He's somewhere a mix between Leon Scott Kennedy and Indiana Jones. He's always in the wrong place at the wrong time. He's a father and an entrepreneur business owner. But both of these fall apart after the events of Slaughter. For the unnecessary(By government standards) Slaughter of an entire South African village and being sent to Jail for life,(and by fate being paroled about a year later) he's never allowed to see his family again. His shipping company falls apart soon afterward. He finally got an order after months of nothing,(he was chosen for this job by either fate or bad luck)to ship a package to a Brazilian Village to an archaeologist living in the area, thus the setting for Massacre unfolds...
Necronip (villain in Barry the Bean)
Arzel (protagonist in Legalize It!)
Cow named Bob named Moo named Spanky (save point/villain in Rand0mness)
Barry the Bean (protagonist in Barry the Bean)
Snerlin (myself, protagonist in Rand0mness)
Rip the ant (protagonist in Sweet Legends)
Chester the polymorphic pig (protagonist in Grim's Challenge)
Waller (protagonist in Wizard Wars)
Floating Head Santa (protagonist in Floating Head Santa)
Nooblet (protagonist in Christmas Conquest 2 (in development))
Neonair (lame mascot/villain in Grim's Challenge)

ok!
On the left you have Buzz the Squirrel, who was originally a sort of Banjo kazooie type thing i designed after watching a friend playing on his N64, then he lost the backpack and parrot and became a generic character to shove in some games. He is sort of designed based on the way Sonic the hedgehog used to be drawn, in that Disney style with gloves and huge black pupils.
On the right you have LP who stars in my latest game Lil' pirate. I didn't really decide on a name for him so i just call him LP. He is a bit simplistic because the game was originally supposed to look like a Nes/Famicom game so i drew a small sprite.
And here is Tops the Pig. I just thought a pig with boxing gloves was interesting and i chose a bit of a stupid name and it kinda stuck. Tops stars in a few of my earlier (and admittedly not very good) games
In my opinion Lil' pirate is 10 times better than the Top's the pig games. Even that isn't as good as it could have been. I just took too much time tweaking stuff that probably didn't need it and got a bit fed up, then released it without really getting any proper play testers in.
So perhaps I think the Tops the pig games are poor because I think I can do better. Although i'm not very good at programming, design, graphics or music for that matter lol.
Looks good! The only problem with the anim is that his legs go in circles. First his right leg is in front, the it's behind, then it's in front again, and behind again. It looks rather strange. Lol Nice anyway.
I agree with the above comment. But it's a really easy fix, just make sure the leg in the foreground is always lighter then the leg in the background and that should fix it. The head bother me a little too. The whole 'head bobing' thing looks painful. My advice is have don't move it at all. You give the impression of movement not by moving the head up and down, but shorting the legs slightly. Also, the head is slightly looking back, while the rest of the body is pointed forward. Maybe you should try redrawing the head to have it pointed forward also. Just my two cents.

This mabye seems a bit mean. But alot of your characters suck in this topic.
Expect Oldmanclaytons are nice and AndyUK's are ok and Zezard's one is quite nice.
I liked the characters in this topic - they were all unique and had a lot of character about them (except for my Terminator, since i never invented it!). This topic is great, like the tree one a while back - i hope it keeps going for a long time!

Hehe, well I fully understand what you mean. Yet, this is an old technique in 2d animation to spare animation time, and it isn't as disturbing (in my opinion) when you are playing the game and paying less atention to what the sprite is looking like. There are a lot of moving stuff to keep your eyes occupied with in the actual game. The head isn't final at all, it's just something I put there so it wouldn't look so weird (as it does without one), at least I'm planning to make it turn in the animation, and adding heroicly waving hair.

Hehe, that isn't really helping anyone. Shouldn't you show us one of your main characters instead?
I think it's bit hard to give constructive critic though, as these are only sprites and scetches of main characters, telling little about their "story" or underlying concept.

Sorry, but that just sounds like you're making excuses. Where is your pride as an artist? If you know it's wrong just take the 10 mins to fix it. You wouldn't have to redraw anything, it's just a matter of coloring.

You mean moving back and forth ala mega man x? I think it would look better if you didn't, or if you did, only slight head turning.
I do like the color scheme though. And the running animation it's self is well done. Keep up the good work.

My pride as an artist lies in my games. I'm just saying that the sprite is a little out of context here, and that I'll wait with changing stuff until you see the actual game. I am kind of planning to make it more smooth and stuff though, just not what I'm working with right now. Thanks anyway.
The definition of being nice is being nice for the sake of it. If you do it for anything else (e.g. personal gain) then it's not really being nice and it's fake niceness. That statement tells us a lot about you.
Tap space bar repeatedly to burn calories! Oh no, what's that? Over there? Suddenly you see a Jaguar chasing you! Tap! Tap!! TAP!!! TAP FOR YOUR LIFE!!! Lol
I think it's for the games section in the PlayBoy website. o____o
Hey guys, if you need a spritist or someone to create anything about art:

The avatar I'm currently using. This lacks blur effect and the shading in the corners.
Early pixel art portraying a ninja in black and white.
An incomplete spritesheet for an unfinished dragon game where you burn shacks and peasants.
Here's another unfinished spritesheet for a game called Satan's Goblin Disaster.
I'll have to upload the rest of my graphics so I can post them here. I would have posted some of my drawings but my scanner is currently not working. Maybe I will post something after I get it working...
A partly unfinished spritesheet of a walking swordsman. Haven't figured out yet where to use it...
Again a spritesheet. This is from mine and Zatek's online game project Hazard, as you may have noticed. It has all the newest weapons and stuff. (We have planned to change the graphics a bit in the future, though.)
That's it. I'll be bothering you with my pictures later...
Yeah, I definitely know Trogdor and Homestar Runner. I slightly got inspired by it after playing that game... Maybe I should change the concept if I'll release the final version some day.
Oh, and thanks for the comment Tomatokid (and OMC). Any further comments, suggestions & feedback are welcome.
Just paste the link to the browser's addres line (or whatever it is).
Well, the little man sure is little. You could try to lift the eyes one pixel upwards and maybe change the color (blue looks kinda gay...). I tried and it looked good.
I honestly don't know at the moment, i'm looking for a decent job, learning to drive and all sorts at the moment so i don't get a huge amount of time to work on it

Excellent digital painting, MrMcFlurry. Great lighting and shading.
EXTREMELY WIP.
I mean it. It's very early. A lot of lines will change, greater detail will be added. I just did a bit of painting for this tattoo design for a friend to get a grounding on how the final product will look. It's going to be a tree made of meat/muscle/fat/flesh with cattle heads on it. (In case you're wondering, it has a anti-meat eating theme. It's not for me.)
New sprite versions of some of my characters drawn for Tops the pig 4. I figured it would help to flesh out the world if there are more inhabitants other than the protagonist and a few enemies.
Examples of some of the destructable building sprites ive been working on for a project im working on. takes forever to make these, and im only about 5-10% one on the game sprites. gonna need to do some background paintings for scenery too.

Just got back home from a visit with a friend of my mom's. They played awesome celtic Music, I totally had to bust out me Mandolin and try to follow along. Had alot of fun on the harp!

Sho off ur characters 2010....... GO!
A Mario Brothers Spoof. Featuring a character of mine, Stephen a.k.a. Triumph, the cold, antisocial 16 year old with a curse bite from the Dark Wolf. I'll be saying "75 points!" every time I throw something away from now on. The character at the end is Drawcula (If any of you remember that was my first acount name. )
Yes... I celebrate my Characters' birthdays. I suffer the cold alternate reality of loneliness.
And of course I celebrate Halloween- big time! I didn't want annoying kids to ruin it. If I don't say so myself, I think I captured the imagery of fleeing children quite well.

D.A. is one of my series, and this indeed IS the first colored in picture. I had to make it something I could remember.
Science is a cruel, cruel thing.
Not a character, but a setting FOR a character...
EEEEVVVIIILLLL....
This here is Chip. He's friendly, Outgoing, and always wants to explore unknown lands and worlds. He was originally a fictional character made for a children's series by an elvish author, Syrian Lode. Syrian died just before the 8th of 12 books in Chips's series were completed. Chip somehow became material, and whatever happened to him in the stories, happened in real life. Here Chip looks at a picture of his Author. He would have loved to meet him, even if Syrian was as cold as ice.
--WIP--: An attempt to color in the above picture. It's not very good, unfortunately, mainly because the cape looks abit rubbery. Sorry if everything else is black. It's all transparent areas but my current host thinks not. I need to get me a webs...
--WIP--: A painting of a city called Holdings, sister city of Haddings. Only a clock tower so far... but it's a start!
Maybe more later. For now I just want to sit my ass down and chill out!
Ooh, I'm itchin to show off the new silhouette sprite! Though I have promised myself to wait until the remake is done. But by all means Jeff, start the damn thread already!
