What would be the best way of going about building a level editor for a guitar hero type rhythm game? I need a way to create the "levels", a way to save the created level data, then a way to reload that data later so it is playable.
Any info would be appreciated.

Step 1: think about it
Step 2: come up with an idea
Step 3: try it

Ben Stein FTW! Unfortunately, Mr. Stein's calculations on the blackboard behind him doesn't shed any light on my predicament.

Here i made you a quick example (it uses a 32bit array which isn't good since it only needs 1 bit)
