What's a good music making program that doesn't involve MIDIs?

Try ModPlug Tracker if you're looking for free stuff.

If you don't have any real music making equipment, I would suggest Mixcraft or Magix. Both are loop based. Magix is ok, but I prefer Mixcraft. Mixcraft comes with ALOT of Premade loops which can be put together to make a nice music sequence. You can try it for 14 days as a trial, but I figured out that you can just download it again and again to get more free days.

Try Fruit Loops Studio Demo. It has no trial period, and you can make fully customizable music with/without loops and save it as multiple file extensions (.wav is best) It's really easy to use! I just got started today, and by myself I already figured out how to use it

The only downside is that you cant save it as a raw file to work on it later.
