well.. i wanna make kind of a simple game, not a storyline defined yet, but that can be arranged,
i started a day ago with TGF2 (lol) but i wish to participate in a small project,
maybe afterwards, make it online, who knows...

well i dun have much in mind, but let me explain you what is in essence

u get to choose 4 classes that practically have a upper class:

Swordsman - Mage - Archer - Fighter
....|..........|.......|........|
....V.........V.......V........V
Knight --- Wizard - Hunter - Brawler

The game itself its a side scroller (like maple ), differently from maple, you are not able to put on
the clothes you want, but instead choose from 10 different color variations of your character's class

shops will be aviable (they will be drag and drop), the weapons will have their own animations (depending on the
coding, there might be lots of diferent weapons), "save areas" where you can attack other players but wont recive
damage or exp for that, varieties of monsters and boss monsters (the monsters themselves, i have created lots
of different desings (i have yet to put them on F2 mode).

lets put it this way
there will be 14 different eggs (monsters come from this, also we might be able to have them as pets, yet again,
it all depends on coding), there is a baby monster for each of this 14 eggs (different element maybe?), 2 variations
for each of this baby monsters, this 2 variations have an other 2 (it keeps like this for 2 more times, then
we get a boss monster from each generation, 14 in total, 1 for each of the baby monsters)

a childish looking graphics design (i feel like the only 2 things i can do its to supervise and make the ideas
one solid idea, and making the object graphics, like the ground they stand on, boxes, trees, you know,
like scenery kind of stuff).

for all this i suppose we will need 5 people minimum
-coder (not exactly expert but good enough to find its way around TGF2)
-Pixel Artist (preferably, i would like to choose one with a style that is originally childish, not to adapt
its style for this unless its very good :0)
-Composer (to make the soundtrack, and SFX of the game)
-Writter (to make starting plot, it doesnt have to be a big and complicated plot, just vage enough to give players
an idea of what to do, but letting them lurk around the place, freely. can also decide side-quests)
-Supervisor (err.. i guess its covered? lol )

well, i guess thats pretty much the bones of what i mean, hopefully, people will add to the project, also,
this is not a profit project, not getting capital for this, only the fun of doing it and watching people play
something you created yourself

TBH these things don't normally kick off unless the framework has already been done. It's best to start projects with online friends if you can't do specific tasks, then open the floor to other helpers.

Most people here have been making games for quite a while, and aren't going to agree to work to your vision, especially since you only started a day ago. The project you're suggesting is by no means small.

I don't know how much you want to pursue TGF2, but there's more than enough here to get you started - articles, tutorial downloads, forums posts...

If design is more your thing, then this article is superb:
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3949/the_13_basic_principles_of_.php?page=1
Most other articles (in 'features', particularly under the Game Design topic) on gamasutra are good too, they helped me a lot. Scroll way down to the bottom and work your way up, the old stuff is definitely still relevant. Just read whatever interests you.
