So as you probably know, Clickteam released the first build of the Java mobile runtime just a couple of days ago, which enables us to make applications for mobile devices. And it's simply a great feature, a milestone in click history if you ask me.

Of course it's quite slow, many extensions are missing, and there's a lot of compatibility/performance/memory issues across different device types. The best results you will get with high-end devices, which support unlimited JAR file sizes (or up to 5Mb) and have the required processing power to deal with MMF2-compiled Java games. It's more challenging on medium-end devices, not to mention the cheapest/older models. On some older models, you can't even run an empty MMF2-Java app because that is already too large (0.3Mb) for the device to handle. Nevertheless I was very positively surprised with this feature and hope CT will continue focusing on this as it has the potential to become something really huge.

Tested it with my previous game "Earthquake Madness! 2":

Im actually suprised with the speed of the game on your mobile, I tested a tiny platformer on my nokia n70 with only a few active objects and it ran slow as shit.

Lol Andy. Yeah, I don't have a mobile phone either but tbh I don't need one. Although the fact that you can play Earthquake Madness (I mean Ecstacy lol) 2 on your mobile phone seriously pwns. I see you changed the interface abit, but all looks gewd.

Nah, Dev's not worth it. It's for Super serious makers who plan on selling more than half of their games.

A dramatic price drop out of some ironic miracle... yeah I might get it.

I think you can get an upgrade discount for MMF2 Standard to Dev.

Well at the moment MMF dev isn't worth the price unless you are serious about selling your games.
You get a few extra extensions that are completely useless and you can edit your apps info (which is useless too because any app like Resource Hacker can do that). And that's about it.
Buying MMF Dev just for the java mobile not worth it all, as it's way too slow and unstable atm. Plus it only works in a few phones.

Now talking from a personal perspective, I bought MMF2 dev because I wanted to "step up" and go commercial, but to be honest I regret it, even with the new java mobile update.

You bought MMF2 Dev to be commercial? If that is the only reason you think it's worth anything, you should have just used Standard. Really, how hard is it to just put the "Created with Multimedia Fusion 2" logo in there for two seconds? Then you would have been just as commercial.

I know but there was a few other features I was looking forward to, but they turned out to be useless.

And if you look at the features comparison between MMF2 standard and dev you'll notice how pointless MMF2 Dev is, too bad I only found out after I blew my 370$.
