The Zelda series has taken its dips here and there but I'd never say any Nintendo-made Zelda game was bad. It's only because they're so consistently great that we pretend to be all disappointed when they dare to change anything (but complain when they keep things the same anyway). I'm not that impressed with the trains thing either, but I'm sure Nintendo will make it fun.
im sure itll be windwaker with trains. instead of being a watterlogged world it will be covered with vast empty plains.
which imo is the only flaw windwaker had. there really wasnt any reason to make you travel huge distances. id have much rather explored sunken hyrule instead of traversing the waters above.
currently playing oracle of ages as i missed it years ago. i bought seasons back then, dont know why. i was much more interested in time travel .
i missed ocarina of time, majoras mask, and twighlight princess, as well as any and all ds zelda games. ive got a N64 so ill probably try and get copies of ocarina and majora. but im not about to buy 2 new consoles for the others. i want a ds but ill probably end up neglecting it more than i neglect my psp.
This game looks fairly crap to me.
They could easily make a fun adventurous 3D game, but instead they're taking the wrong sort of risks when they could be making something a lot better.

Yea. I just wish they hadn't made these new DS Zeldas such casual titles. They've lost all that made the 3D ones great. But hey they might make a new one for the DSi only that's all big and 3D like, with the dpad and all.
I just hope they don't make me yell at the ds to get a good price on a cannon for the train, ( i was playing at night when they asked me to do that in phantom).
Alspal how can you say that when you haven't played it?
You're right, I shouldn't have said that.
I was just a little disappointed they didn't try and make a more adventurous 3D game like the console versions (Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker).
Sorry to raise old posts but seeming as certain people do it, didn't see why not.
Got this game yesterday in the collector's tin and love it The train driving part of the game is actually quite fun and unique. Love some of the music, too
I bought this for my sister for Christmas, and she very graciously let me have the second file. So far I'm really enjoying it. I was a fan of trains when I was quite little, and they zelda-fied it quite well. So far I like it more than Phantom Hourglass.
I love the humor they put in. "I'll wait here while you go into the dungeon. I think it's some kind of tradition for princesses in my family." Having Zelda come along and have a personality was a very welcome "innovation."
I beat the first temple and am on my way to the second. My only complaint is that i have to blow on my screen, and that the game is a bit linear. Other than that, pretty good. And the cut scenes are really good, with great facial expressions.
