I set "active 1" to change it's transparency depending on "Active 2's" X speed. However, this isn't the case.

I set Active 1's ink effect to Add, but because of the "Set Semitransparency to X speed" rule it completely disregards active 1 having the add effect and instead replaces it with Semitransparency.

What I'm wondering is if I can get both to work at the same time. Anybody know?

Sorry bud, you can't have more than 1 ink effect on 1 active. I think in the HWA beta you can either adjust the coefficiency or something on the ink effect, or maybe add more than 1. I can't remember but the ink effects in HWA are much more configurable.

No, even in HWA you can only use one pixel shader at a time, the diffrence is the fact that you can create your own custom pixel shader that includes both effects.
