Why would you convert it to an MP3? MP3's are horrible for gaming. For one, they have a license fee and for two, they're huge. Use OGG if you're going to use any kind of high standard format.

Yup Ogg. files are the best for sound (in gaming). Small files, sounds just as good as mp3's and wav files.

Ogg for the win!

It even has a cool name. Ogg.
