I'm using the capture screen object. I have it set to "capture selected area" in the dialogue box and its dragged out over the area I want to capture. In the event editor I specified the final directory and did, "when user presses button" -- capture active screen.

It captures my whole application and not the specific area. Any help?

If you use the "Start automatic capture" action, it should work.

In the capture image setup:
-Trigered by an action
-Capture selected area checked
-Choose file destination (add .bmp to your file name)

Event editor:
-Start of frame: -> Start automatic capture

That's all you need

If that doesn't help, I can send you my test file to compare

Free and easy. Unless your wanting to have screen capture through mmf as an application feature though, I can't help you. But it sounds like your just wanting screen shots/video. And you can resize the screen so that the logo doesn't show up in the video at all. Or it'll only occupy a small corner.

All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:

These are very excellent examples by other people and are very informative.

You might me right, but let's not trivialize this object.

A serie of screen captures used in conjunction with the active picture object = endless animation uses
The animation in my signature has 256 images. Imagine the time I saved.

Well, it took the screen shot from the selected area for me.

Yeah, automatic capture doesn't seem to care about the directory you set in the event editor, so you get two copies as a result.

But I made it work. I'm sending you the mfa. It's more simple than to write what to do since I resized a couple of objects.
