I was flicking through the TV channels today and came across the new Countdown, and remembered the good old days of Richard Whiteley. If you remember Noels House Party in the UK, there was a segment in which he set up celebrities. Richard was one of its victims and I believe it helped turn him into a bigger celebrity because of this stunt.
If you haven't seen it before I urge you to watch it
That was great. I never really watch Countdown, especially now it's totally changed, but I love watching some of the bloopers on youtube I miss Noel's House Party, can't be doing with all this Ant and Dec nonsense nowadays
Classic, can't beat old Countdown. I was upset when he passed away .
I can't remember watching this, I was maybe a wee bit too young but by god that was funny.
Gotcha was the best thing Noel ever did. Shame he's reduced to that stupid random guessing game that they stretch over an hour. Noel's House Party was quality Saturday TV, Mr Blobby notwithstanding.
On the subject of Joyous Noel, this following link is (hopefully) the most cringeworthy thing you'll watch today. Oh man the self-importance almost jumps off the screen and swings its sopping globes in your face; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAo-xyIEEkI
Lol, yes I cringed a little. Reminded me of when Jeremy Kyle tries to make a statement, yet he rarely has anyone more intelligent than himself on his show, hate that guy >_<. This should also make me cringe but I always laugh:
Althought that's the only version of it I could find, and it's pretty poor quality
That one is also a classic. How does gentle Noel do it? Maybe I'm being unfair on him and he's actually an undercover comedy genius. The hair itself should have been a clue.
'Gorgeous face, absolutely...what a wonderful expression...'
Noel was more angry that Mr Van den Bos had dismissed his show for what it actually is than he was about the soldier's situation!
