This is events for invulnerability in Kodu, from their blog:

Image

// first make sure so we can see that the shield's in effect

glow - blue

// use the blue score to keep track of "shield points"; subtract one each second

timer - one second : score subtract - blue - 1

// when we're out of shield, got back to normal mode

scored - blue - below - 1 : switch page 1

// blow up any saucer that touches me

bump - saucer : boom - it

Some variations you could try on this are:

// blow up anything that touches me

bump : boom - it

// heal 10 health points every second

timer - one second : heal - 10

// damage my health every second that shield is on (it's radioactive!)

timer - one second : damage - 10

-----------

Has anyone else played around with Kodu since its 360 release? It's pretty damn limited, I've got a feeling us klikers are too spoilt by our own tools for it to be of much use.

It'll all blow over.

I tried it out... it's pretty pathetic, really. For only 400ms points though, I'm sure plenty of people will actually get it. Unless I can create something that works online, Kudo had my interest for only about 5 minutes. 10 tops.

You do have to admit though. As severely limiting as this may be, especially compared to what we paid around $100 for, this has to be one of the more customizable tools out there for any console. It's only major immediate flaw that I can see is a severe lack of content. That could just be because of me just using the trial, but still. I haven't even tried Little Bit Planet yet, but simply from watching videos about it, I'd much rather buy that than this.

That's sooo Microsoft. People call Nintendo and Apple the FisherPrice of their markets but when you look at the NXE or stuff like this (or paperclip office assistants ) it's all just happy jolly smiley glowy friendly naffness.

But heh. I'll skip. It's probably nice for kids to play around with though.

Yes, I can't see a reason to use something like this which would probably be inflexible after a while as a console application. Why not just use Clickteam/other production tools which are fairly limitless in gameplay ideas.
