I've been playing Super Smash brothers brawl a bunch since I got it. I've unlocked all characters, arenas, and songs. I've beat all 41 events on hard, beaten classic with all characters, beat crazy hand, beat every target smash level with every character, and gotten like 95% of the challenges. I'd probably have 99% except my little brother killed all my golden hammers.
Anyone else play this game like it's their job?
And I need some friends to play online with also.
You can log off any time you like, but you can't ever leave.
I used to play it all the time but because of that I got good and now nobody will play me . Exhausted all the single player stuff and I can't play online because it's way too laggy.

Yeah it is really laggy, I was hoping it would be better playing against friends.

I played it like it was my job until I realized that it wasn't as ground breaking as Melee was when it first came out. I play online occasionally, let me just go get my FC.
I looked forward to this thing for years (literally, with all the delays. ) and when I finally got it, I was somewhat disappointed... The controls aren't as tight. I haven't played it in a loooong time, and I was never really good at it anyway.
Probably no good at melee anymore, either.
But I still occasionally dig it out to smash some baddies with Link. There's nobody for me to play it with so it just gathers dust.
Play Melee instead. It actually requires skill. Brawl, like everything else Nintendo has released this generation, is a watered down shell of it's former self. You'll never see matches like this in Brawl:
This classic moment would also be impossible in brawl:
Why do people always say the newer versions of games require less skill; Counter Strik Source, TF2, Brawl. Are they the ones who don't win at the new games so claim they're rubbish?
A friend of mine is now one of the best competative Peach players in the US, he's not stuck in the past and has always said theres plenty of skill needed for Brawl .
Wasn't Galaxy tougher than its predecessors too? Just I 100%ed 64 and Sunshine but I find Galaxy a lot tougher.
I still haven't 100%ed 64 or Sunshine, but Galaxy I have. I think that's just because I got the game when it was new. The others were not quite the center of my gaming focus when I got them. That and getting those dreadful 100 coin stars in Sunshine is awful. >_> And the hazy maze cave.... I have nightmares.
Brawl is the only new-gen iteration of a Nintendo IP that I was not satisfied with.
I think I've exhausted both Melee and Brawl. I'd like to play Brawl some more with friends, have some really epic fights. Brawl creates that mood really well. It's a shame that (at least when I played) some of the best tactics are a little cowardly. I got tired of fighting Pit online really quickly. If the projectiles in Brawl were just a liiiittle less effective...
Otherwise I like all the changes they made, and the character list is fantastic. I just don't want to play either game single-player again, the only fun in that is unlocking stuff, though the higher level CPU's in Brawl put up a decent enough fight.
Like just about any fighting game, multiplayer is a blast. It always will be. Soul Caliber 2 is HILARIOUS with a group of friends, winner stays on.

Wahhhhhh, Wahhh. I can't use the same strategy I used in the last game, thus having to come up with a new one, so the game is watered down! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
I think brawl is harder. The controls aren't as tight. Might have something to do with Havok, because even with a wavebird it's funky.
I'm not good enough to really have strategies. I just pick a random attack, then use another random attack. And as I've said before, I never block because when I first played Melee I didn't play against people who blocked. So I can't get into the habit of it.
The controls aren't as tight but the physics allow for proper aerial combat, which I bloody love (used to play as Falco a lot on Melee because of his physics... Now most of the new fighters are like that!). It's much more easy to follow because of that. I used to lose my character loads in 4 player matches on Melee. In Brawl it's not so bad. But that might be down to the living room 46" Bravia instead of on some crappy old interlaced 28" bedroom TV .
What they could do is show it the normal way on the top screen, then show it zoomed up on the player on the bottom screen (if the DS can pull that off).
Well, maybe you could use smash attacks with the touch screen. And the DS has all the buttons available, so maybe press the smash button and d-pad at the same time, instead of timing the tap to the edge with attack.
I really hope they don't use the touch screen. My favorite games are the ones that don't use the touch screen, Mario Kart, New Mario Brothers, Pokemon.
Speaking of Smash for DS, anybody read Professor Laytons "Twit" from twitter?
It said "I've got an invintation to something called Super Smash Bros. Grand tournament today"
Then the next day it said "I've been told to fight a blue robot and a possesed doll"
Which I'm pretty sure was Geno and Megaman, because Proffesor Layton, Geno, and Megaman were all runner ups to Sonic and snake in brawl.
I think there's an official article about this on IGN somewhere. One thing to note, is that the Professor Layton twitter is run by the official Professor Layton team. I either think the operator of the twitter account was having some fun, OR something is amiss...
I think if a SSB game came out for the next gen nintendo wii, grand tournament wouldn't be the name, I think it would be SSBClash or something.
So Grand Tournament would better fit a DS game.
But it's probably just a rumor started by the twitter operator for proffesor layton...
