ok... i think there is a bug with the games factory 2... i was working for like 8 hours on a project, when i was on a object picture edit, it suddenly closed for no reason, and the file it was saved on, got deleted to somehow? wth is wrong with this? o.o is the demo version supposed to do this normally to piss ppl off? kuz it did to me >.0
No, I think what happened is you may have saved a blank game onto the game you were working on by accident, as "Game01". Happened to me when i started out.
That's why I always make backups of games periodically so you dont lose your game in one little mishap.
I was using mmf2 yesterday and it did close on me while working in the event editor. No errors etc. Just an instant crash. I didn't lose anything though because I am OCD about saving and I save anytime it is available.
yeah in my early days i accidentally saved a blank gam file over my game and more recently ive had instant crashy things happen with MMF2 ... but yeah.. i hit ctrl+S a LOT. without thinking, and backups every so often too.
I found a bug with the picture editor in MMF2. Not even sure how to trigger it but every so often a newly drawn pixel can't be 'undo-ed'. But older pixels can still be erased. It's rather odd and sometimes it crashes out if I press undo too many times.
And another is trying to play sounds using the Element List window. I haven't had this problem on my new game (which uses the same Tormi engine) so I'm guessing it's because the original has ~70mb worth of sounds and music.
Oh and the bug that I linked to in my sig but that's no longer a problem .
... And a bug with HWA where it will just stop rendering in DX9 and requires a reboot to fix. But thats in beta so its coo, like.
I would hit control S, but I really think I'm OCD about it so I absolutely MUST click that file>save or the save. I think some weird thing in TGF made me like that where if you saved a specific way the save icon didn't get darkened.
