Your expectant attitude annoys me- this is TDC not TIGSource, and you know that news from outside the TDC/CT communities rarely gets a front page mention here. Granted that kinda sucks, but I'm still failing to see why you're surprised by this.

why do you take the most irrelevant part of a post and decide to comment on that? instead of commenting on the topic at hand. something interesting is going on, created by one of our own, albeit often inactive, members. why not say what you think about what radix is doing? i think its interesting. it might not be the most innovative things, but its definitely noteworthy.

Because I already saw all of it yesterday, and like Muz it doesn't excite me. This is how things in the indie games scene become vastly over-rated.
If it was like a fully 3D version of Links Awakening with a charming art style to match the original (hell keep it monochrome or 8bit) I'd be all chuffed. But my opinions sit with Muz's on this.

Anything that is generating this much publicity outside of TDC about anything TDC/klik related, even this loosely, should get a shout. In this case, Radix appears to have been doing well!
Yeah, the alpha bug and speed issues are solved by the latest unstable Construct build, but it doesn't support a function I need to port the engine to it yet, so I'm waiting on the next update.

I PMed Rikus about Radix's Standard waiver game. It was probably missed in amongst all the PMs Rikus gets per day.
Funnily enough I did that at the same time a certain someone made a huge fuss over the poor quality of front page games.
Anyway it's a great example of what Construct can do.

whether or not it is front page worthy in your eyes or not, or whether you find the project "exciting" or not. its something that is very much noteworthy.
i dont much enjoy the actual gameplay or ddirection of it either, but i find it completely interesting at what radix is doing, in the same way i didnt really find standard waiver exciting and had a lot of problems with it, but i like that hes actually accomplishing something and in construct to boot. and for that, SOME sort of "hey look at this" is necessary. ala my post.
Hey, just saw this by mistake really. If you want something front page pm me, if I dont reply back within 10 hours... dont be afraid to pm again! I read all the mail send to me but sometimes things overlap and gets lost in the shuffle when I log back on. So if nothing is done just make me aware and I shall carry out!

It was the type of game that was a bit sexual in nature if I Put it lightly. It was made for a compo, but it is the type of game we really cant put on the download page here.
Shame he had to delete his articles and games because of it.

I removed my games because I've decided TDC isn't the right place to keep my games. It's apparently completely a children's site now, and I'm not G-Rated.
There are plenty of other shitty things the moderation staff do that have irritated over the years, but I haven't left in the past and I'm not planning to leave entirely now. However, if the site is going to censor my submissions list, there's no point in keeping my submissions here: users might see the games I've made but they won't be getting an accurate picture of my "portfolio".
That's it. I'm not upset or frustrated, something Rikus didn't seem to get in his messages to me, but it's been made clear that TDC isn't the kind of site I would want to support anymore.
If you're perfectly happy removing all your content from TDC, because you don't wish to "support" it anymore, why kick up such a fuss about one of your downloads not being accepted, when you could just post it on TIGsource anyway like most of your recent projects?
You visit the site nearly every day, I'm pretty sure by now you know perfectly well that TDC has become more "family friendly" over the past couple of years
It is a shame to loose some of the games that were deleted and all of the comments they got I think the games data and all of its comments are still in the database and I think club has tried put deleted games back before, if needed to be or if you ever change your mind, maybe something to think about Radix.

Rikus, I backed up the pages too, since yes it is definitely a bad thing to delete comments and it's unfortunate we can't have it both ways.
By the way, why did you edit my post and leave Adam's flamebaiting alone? The way he behaves would've gotten him permabanned from most sites with half-decent moderation long ago. I don't know how you can run this place like some kind of teletubbie nazi most of the time and claim it's supposed to be "family friendly" while still keeping a trollish douchebag like him around.

Yes we all know you don't like Radix you don't have to be so obvious about it by making stuff up.
I don't see Adult Content as ever being part of the site either. It's been suggested a few times, but never taken seriously. Rules on TDC are sort of funny, sexual content and swear words are blocked out, but not suggestiveness and suppressed hate. It's how TDC members prefer it.
Heh, but true, the games on TDC don't exactly give a good view of Radix's style. I think it's better if Radix just put a link to his site.
We really need to have sort of a "this link may contain unsuitable content" warning, though. I've seen far worse links there than Radix's site.

You're clearly not reading what has previously been posted, Andy. You're trying to defend Radix, yet he's already cancelled out your "frustration" theories Just let it drop. You wanted to know what happened to his downloads and now you know.

So, what exactly was the fuss all about with Radix's "forbidden" game then? Someone just let me know, but obviously by being careful not to swear or use bad language stuff. I will explain this to you as simply as I possibly can. Radix's post on Twitter is not a tantrum. The whole point of a tantrum would be to cause a scene. Twitter is not TDC. A post on Twitter that isn't going to be read by everyone at TDC isn't going to kick up much of a fuss. He could just have made a thread here at TDC if that was his intention. However he didn't, so he wasn't trying to cause a fuss or have a tantrum.
Most of us wouldn't even have known if Circy didn't bring it up.
Oh and what you said to Rikus was the final straw, i'm sure.

Thank you adam. I have to say the game wasn't to my taste (and not because of the huge penis-cycle thing, since i once made a klik game called Aids Escape when i as younger, i can't really talk!) as i didn't find it fun. I did like the retro-ness of the graphics though, man i miss K'n'P!

Ive said the twitter post isn't proof of a tantrum, that was a reply to Circy quoting it, and I went on to say it's not a tantrum if nobody from TDC saw it.
Deleting your games from your profile and nothing more is just as un-tantrum like. He didn't make a thread on TDC did he? Who knew about it until I posted it in my bump post? Would it be a tantrum if he phoned his Grandmother and told her?
Why call it a cover up what he has posted in this topic? There is nothing that suggests it ever was a tantrum other than your own bad choice of words.

Considering he had only just released a game, I'm pretty sure people would have noticed it was missing sooner rather than later. Even if I was wrong, and it wasn't a tantrum (which it was, he still had to express his emotion even if it wasn't for TDC to see- it was else where) It's still a pretty childish way of dealing with it "They don't want my game, they dont get any, wah wah wah"

Good spotting, that's what the domain was going to be for before someone leaked one of my ideas for launching it (which was cool and would've resulted in people getting free stuff for good content at no cost to me) and killed the timeliness of it.
...But I might still use it so there's, like, no need to tell everyone else if you're reading this and you're one of those people I told.
