Hello all, relatively new to the forums so I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this. Feel free to move it if not This here topic is a request for feedback on a game my friend and I have been developing for an agonizingly long amount of time (five years). The game is now as finished as it's going to get as this is its last version. Nonetheless I haven't gotten much opinion on it, so I would appreciate it if I could get some commentary on it!

The game is a top down shooter, in classic tank arcade style. It has a science fiction story taking place on the fictional ice planet Atrigo, one which pits the player's human resistance (the Nemesis) against an oppressive government that utilizes robot warriors (the Genesis). The civil war is not the only thing at stake, for a race of imperialistic aliens called the Helion are also out to claim the planet as their own.

This last release has three pilotable vehicles and six campaign scenarios, with variable difficulty levels available. The game also includes a load of developer commentary on what we wanted to do, what we did do, and loads of things you probably don't even want developer commentary on.
Here are some screenshots;

You should post it in the downloads section: http://www.create-games.com/newdownload.asp
It would be nice if you could get the filesize down a bit first (perhaps by compressing the music more), as 65MB is too big for a lot of people.

Anyway, it's a nice game

The design is great, and you've obviously put a lot of thought into it.
Presentation is generally pretty good, apart from the menu.
Gameplay is okay - it's just badly let down by the use of built-in movements for the vehicles and projectiles. If you could replace them with custom 360-degree movements, it would be much improved.
Also, pressing spacebar to skip a message is awkward - it would be better to use a mouse click or "any key" instead.

I agree ith everything Sketchy just wrote - this game plays better than it looks! I think there are few games on TDC that would benefit from more realistic graphics and this is one of them. Better movements would be good too; for the player i would recommend 360 degree shooting and something other than the horrible race car movement. Enemies would also benefit from AI more advanced than the basic bouncing ball movement too.

On the upside though, the gameplay is very good and the in-game messages from your team mates excellent. The pictures of the tanks you can see in the menu are 1st class (i think the gaem would defo benefit from these graphics in-game!). The main menu, to be honest, sux and lets the rest of the genius game design down.

Overall though, very very good! I would suggest creating a Projects page for this game and adding this demo to the Downloads section
