I think I'm gonna join this compo. Just have to come up with some ideas... I'm liking the more atmospheric, slower paced kind of game personally. Have to see what develops!

Would it be acceptable to build on someone else's engine?

I was thinking of doing something using Andos' brilliant shadow caster.
I've been modifying it to shade the walls as well as the floor (doesn't cast shadows on the walls properly yet though).

- Watermelon a Zombie Rocket Propelled Chainsaw Grenade Launcher game sounds super awesome!

- Scott go for it even if you release a demo of the game is fine!

- Sketchy, yes you can use the engine of someone else if you wish, cant wait what you will create with it!

Ok, so the atmospheric game idea didn't really turn up anything original... Luckily I got Sim City 4 the other day, for old times sake, and it's inspired me to make something I haven't really tried before: A sim game. And so I've set about making Simetery. A graveyard simulator! Should be fun.

How many confirmed entrants to we have now I wonder?

All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:

www.zephni.com

These are very excellent examples by other people and are very informative.

Nothing will be confirmed until the game is uploaded to the site on the download page. So take your time do whatever make the game or dont, once you put it on the site it will be added to the list of entries, even if you post it on the due date
