I'm sure it's the same with most games- hours and hours of effort go into most projects. If you'd like to see the videos in full 1280 x 720, double click and view them in youtube. Yes, I made the entire project in that resolution, instead of my usual 1680 x 1050.

Watched them all, fascinated by videos like these and you've done a really good job making these. =D
And I feel the same way regarding the big budget games and publishing your games
These are fantastic, I watched them all about found them very interesting. I played The Bat Sweeper and think it's a great game. I haven't played the other Halloween games so I can't say whether I agree with it getting 3rd place, but I can tell you that I enjoyed it at least. I don't know if I liked The Making Of videos more because I've played the game, but I'm sure I would have enjoyed watching these anyway. I recently saw your mapping tutorials and watched a couple, even though I have no interest in making maps myself. Good job on the video itself, it's very well made and you have a good commentary.
A couple of thoughts on the video:
- You skipped over some things, saying that it's boring to watch. I would have been very interested in hearing your thoughts on how you set up the levels.
- The music featured heavily in the videos but I still don't know how you made it. Did you use the Kliks Music Studio you made?
- I played Sundown Shambles and remembered the water and the bats!
*Hmm, I see what you mean about me just ignoring the level design. To be honest with you, apart from making sure that the walls can't be jumped over and that there are no instant-death pits, I don't think I had much of a plan for the levels, I really did just make them up as I went along. I'll bear that in mind in future videos that I make, I could have added more to that bit.
*Hi Nim, the music was made using Fruity Loops Studio. I really want to get around to V2 of the music making studio, though- I have stuff planned for it but I've been very tied up with other projects, and University work nagging at me all the time.
*Thanks for playing Sundown Shambles

On a different note, what I found very strange was the fact that I worked a bit on an entry for the same halloween contest that also involved a vacuum type gun. Here are some pics.
Bassically you sucked enemies in, and had to spit the enemies back out at the other enemies.
What are the odds? Shame I didn't submit it as that would have been very spoooky!
It shows the highly sophisticated sound making device in the video

This is one of very few click games which i played from start to finish and completed! I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down untill i'd completed it, and this short documentary has added even more to the game in my opinion. The more i think about it, after playing the game and watching the documentary i've start to recognizes the strongest part. At first i thought it was the clever cutscenes which i thought were 6 star by the way and so original, but NO its the music/score, its amazing and you have a real talent there. I'd like to speak to you actually Phil about using two of your songs in my game i'll email you i think.
Oh one last thing........ JESUS CHRIST HOW THE HELL DID YOU MAKE THIS GAME IN 3 DAYS!!!!! I've been making mine for 2 years and i'm still no where near ready lol! Great game Phil and great documentary!!!!!!
By the way Phil you was right, this was the best Halloween game!!!!!!!
despite the fact that I've spent well over 20 hours in each of my projects, and none of them ever get finished, so why would I ever need to watch a video like this, I still watched all three parts, and I gotta say, in this run-on sentence, it was all very entertaining, and I think I'm going to link to this video to show my friends what I do instead of write metal songs with them.
I made 5 different sounds, and it chooses one at random every 0:10 that the fire button is held down.
Here, see the finished version if you can't be bothered to play it yourselves.
