Has anyone tried this? I'm really just wondering if it works at all. I wonder if a DS exporter could ever be on the horizon for MMF.

I played around with it. It works although it's very simplistic and the creator of it doesn't really listen to his customers.

Thanks I'd like to check it out, even though it seems to be very limited.

yeah, the creator ignored my suggesions to make it tile based so as to cut down on the graphical content, also he stupidly removed mod support and replaced it with mp3 which is totally overkill for a ds game.
Also the program is just poorly made, it reeks of bugs everywhere you click. I found myself moving the mouse slowly around the screen avoiding potential digital land mines that might crash the program before I could save.
YEah you'd be better off sticking to making cell phone games with mmf, or just learn how to code in C.

I installed it and .. wow. Why does the room reload the graphics constantly, and so damn slow? It is quite limiting overall. The limit of 16 total sprites in an entire project is terrible.
"There are some limitations to bare in mind when designing and utilizing sprites for DS Game Maker. Please see below:
* Limit on Sprite Sizes - see above section
* Limit of 16 different sprites per project. You can work round this limit by putting multiple sprites into one and animating to the required frame
* Limit of 128 Sprites placed per screen. You can work round this limit by deleting then recreating sprites you do not need the player to see at a specific moment
* There is a limit of 256 colours for a sprite. This is the same quality as you find in GIF files and Average Quality backgrounds"
I did, however, test compiling the .NDS file and running it on my DS, it works fine.

I wonder if it's really legal to sell the Pro Version? Also, you can't put sounds or saving into the Free Version...

I'd rather create in MMF and export to *.NDS honestly I guess it's somewhat easy to use but you have to work around it's retarded limitations and odd way of working.
True Jon, I'm not entirely sure what the deal is there, I thought that a developer would need a licence from Nintendo, however, I guess homebrew is a different story as it's just third-party and not meant to be sold (then you would need the licence).
