Something I've tried a few times and never quite succeeded in any kind of graceful way.
Years ago, I was messing around in Flash and I made something that would create a cake (the msn messenger emoticon) in a random position on the screen, and it would slingshot around until it rested in the centre of the screen, as if it were attached by a bungee cord.
Simply adding 1 to Alterable Value A and adding that to X("Active") doesn't work. Even with dampening it never ends up resting at exactly the cord's point of origin. I'm not really up on physics (if that's what it takes.) What I'm looking for is a single maths expression that will create this effect, rather than the hacks and workarounds that I usually end up making. Can anyone help?
Did you post this on Clickteam also? As far as coding help goes, threads usually get answered a lot faster on there I have no idea what the solution is but the name of the thread hooked me immediatley
