Vitalize games in the arcade need to have a condition that ends the game when you press the Alt key. As it stands, pressing Alt causes the application to pause, which is pretty much a game breaker for time-based games such as Calculix.

To that effect, if a game is discovered to have a "cheat" or other such exploit, is it possible for your guys to reset the scoreboard in order to get rid of bogus scores?

I actually developed an anti alt object to insert into games with that problem, I'd embedded into a couple, I guess I missed Calculix, are there any others that suffer this?

Ah, an anti-Alt bug would be just the thing.

Unfortunately, it's still happening for me in Calculix. If it helps, I'm using Firefox as my browser.

I think Solgryn figured it out too, because he just beat my "test" score. It would be a bummer if everyone got into a back-and-forth thing with this game and started racking up credits without much effort.

EDIT: Oh, and for the other Vitalize games, it's not as much of a problem. Colour Hit actually punishes you for it due to the Alt bug causing mass creation of colour spheres.

...Or not. People are still finding ways around it. Have you seen some of the scores that have been submitted lately?

I seriously think Calculix should be converted to Flash. It's kinda borked in its Vitalize form. <.<

Yo Spaceman, I haven't used any exploits at all to achieve my Calculix scores, although I agree it would be great to tighten up the security on all of the games (e.g. Legend of Nawak you can pause the game by clicking outside the game window, which lets you skip Nawak time for example).

I can take a screen capture avi of calculix if you need me to convince you it's possible to achieve the scores I've been getting without any cheats

To be fair, I had complained about this before you started getting active in the Arcade. I'm pretty sure there are some nice, legit scores in Calculix, which is why I think the Alt bug should be dealt with so that they're not mistaken for cheapo scores.

At least with other Vitalize games, it's not -as- bad as it could be. In Nawak, for example, you'll clear the screen, but you'll also lose valueble time in the process as you wait for more objects to appear. As long as there are penalties invoked by using the Alt bug, then I think it's a fair enough trade.
