the adaptive subdivision is awesome and for that alone it's better than blender's sculpt mode (but then again someone's actually working on adding it to blender too)
thanks omc. ya it takes a few models and hours until you get used to it, but man is it fun after you get acquainted with it .
if i could figure out how to do anything in blender i would use it too. but this is just a lot easier and works better. i cant figure out hardly anything in blender. i even have a book lol. maybe i should read it.
Really? I just read the noob 's guide to Blender or something on wikibooks for free. There's a link in the help section of the blender website. It really taught me a lot.

This is Koji. Copy and paste Koji to your sig so he can acheive world domination.
if i can get accustomed to blender i would use sculptris for the model sculpting and then make tweaks and add my textures, materials, animations, etc in blender.
Made another one. Spent a little more time on this one:
I've gotta say that it's really an amazing application. So easy to use and intuitive to. Just after 1 hour or so you are using the tool like you've been using them for years.
EDIT: Made a third one
When I was done with this one Sculptris took about 1 gb of ram . I think I'm getting better at it though.
judging from the creator's demo video this looks extremely interesting. Is it possible to pose the characters? I've been thinking about trying to create some basic 3D models and posing them using that to create animations rather than drawing everything..

masking and using the grab/rotate brushes i'd imagine
not really suitable for animation though (you're better off exporting the models to an app that *can* handle animation)
Speaking of that, has anyone tried to make animations out of their 3D creations? If someone has been successfull I would love to know what app you used.
