I got a really strange issue that i cant seem to get my head around.
Whats happening is when i boot up the game for the first time after turning on my computer the frame rate drops really badly for about 15 seconds then its fine, then if i boot it up again everytime its fine.
This happens every time i turn off my computer.
The debugger is saying 100 actives and 12MB so thats not bad, ive been through the code but still it makes no sense to me.
Anyone seen this before?

Are you using any extensions in this application?

Nah, it's not your computer, it's the joypad extension. I've made a pretty basic temporary fix before: an app containing the object that opens and closes immediately before the main app opens. Bit messy, though.

It'll all blow over.

So its the joypad extension. How comes ive never seen this issue with any finished game before. Have i done somthing wrong in my coding? and if so do you know what causes it?
Any other ideas on how to fix this issue?
I suppose if i cant find a fix i could mask it by having a few splash screens at the beggining of the game that last until it stops slowing down which at the moment is about 12 seconds.
