The web is moving quickly now, with HTML5 etc. and people are starting to make browser-based games that work without plugins like Flash.
I found this engine, it's not quite out yet, but it includes a game editor that you can use in a browser! Games made on it will even work in IE8 as well as the latest browsers including iphone/ipad, you can even make iphone/ipad apps with it.

Take a look at the video at the website below and you'll see what I mean.

I wondered what everyone's thoughts were on this, especially as it's aiming to do everything that Clickteam's been working towards recently (flash export/iphone export)?

Looks very interesting. I'm not quite sure how it works without needing any plugins, or how much the performance will suffer as a result (ie. compared to Flash etc).

Even if the tool is as versatile as some claim to be (this one looks more promising than a lot), I have a strange aversion to web game development.

I guess it has the potential to make a lot of money, but it seems cheap and flimsy to me. Could be that making games for any old web-capable platform seems really workaroundish and unreliable. I want games made specifically with phones in mind for my phone, dagnabbit!

Which utterly contradicts my willingness to use MMF2 to make flash games.

Ignore the crazy bumbling old fart in the corner. I'd love to see cool games made with it. I just need to stubbornly justify sticking with what I've got and being lazy.
