Surely its possible??!

It just seems like one of those obvious features that someone should/could have made by now?

I have only done light research in to it, assuming that I would find it straight away, lol.

It's not possible to do it natively, nor should you want to because MP3's are innately large and are not a royally free format to use.

You should instead download Audacity which is free, open and then resave your MP3's as OGG's which MMF2 can play both natively and internally so you wont have external files dragging along side your application. They are also smaller when saved at the same sound quality as an MP3.

you can also use the Directshow extension but it's far from ideal. best to convert your mp3's to something like Ogg as Silverfire said.
