Hey all, I've been a lurker on this site for a number of years. Due to business commitments and too much work to handle, I've never had the opportunity to actually signup. Now I have! and just in time as I have finally released, Stock Market Deluxe!
This game utilises an obscene amount of alterable values, global values and a ton of equations even Carol Vorderman would struggle with.
The end result? A game which is random every time... guaranteed! This gives the user a refreshing feeling of no static storyline, no alternative objectives and a lot of competition!
It entails buying shares at a low price and selling them at a high price. This results in cash boosts which enables you to purchase more shares in more companies, building a bigger portfolio for yourself.
The whole concept is based on ending up with the most cash, selling the shares at the right time before they either drop actively, or go ‘Over The Top’ which will result in a major crash in that companies value.
Gameplay
This is a single player game, in which you play against 3 computer players. All the computer players aren’t to be taken lightly. They are well developed and well experienced in buying and selling shares, so you are pitting your wits against 3 of the best!
You can sell your shares in bulks of 10, so if you had 30 shares to sell, you would have to sell 10, 3 times. You can only buy 10 per round. You MUST sell before you buy.
If you buy shares, you will not be able to sell any until your next turn.
There are bonuses awarded every so often to the player who is lagging behind. This is to give a boost and enable them to try and catch up with the rest of the players. Keep your eyes on the status box for bonuses rewarded.
Because all the players will be competing heavily in some companies for the cheapest shares, every so often a company will receive extra shares; this enables a dormant company that has no shares, to have more available shares for purchase.
Looks quite professional actually, though I feel its appeal will be limited to financial boffins and the collective that are known as a wunch of bankers
I released it yesterday and have already started the graphic work for the 2nd edition today, which I will start a project page with cheers Marko!
Feedback is always much appreciated! The biggest achievement for me in this development, is that, I have managed to create an engine which means no two games will ever be the same, resulting in endless hours of gameplay for user's!
I do understand that maybe the title will only attract the boffs and the collective wunch of bankers, but hopefully if the game get's reviewed by people who have downloaded it, people will be able to see I have tried to take the seriousness of what normally is the 'Stock Exchange' and took it to a whole new FUN, gaming level!
