Since the other thread got a little lengthy, it's time to start one that will hopefully remain at a manageable size.
The details:
The APP (The Awesome Public Project) is the TDC Community project. Currently it is a platformer centered around a Samurai-like warrior fighting demons, but if that needs to change, it can.
The Project Page is here: http://create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=1938
And the project wiki is here: http://theapp.jollycrouton.com/

CURRENT NEWS:
Artists necessary to move forward
We have a prototype engine, but due to the lack of interest, morale is a bit low. We definitely need artists for in-game art. I'm not skilled enough to create the entire game's worth of the art in that screenshot. We can go pixel art or photoshoppy art, depending on who we have. We just need artists.
If you have any ideas for increasing interest and maybe participation, do speak up.

See, our problem is that we need people who can make sweet graphics without being forcibly locked up and threatened, and especially ones that don't demand so much Mountain Dew in exchange for their labor.
After some discussion amongst the team, Sir HorrendousGames the noble has agreed to be the animator, so if you're interested in being an artist for the team, you wouldn't have to animate anything!
Just to repeat: We need artists! I know it's kind of confusing that we have some placeholders that look okay, but we do need them. My art is unpredictable and I have other roles in the project.
