While I wasn't born during the SNES era, I do own one and have had it since I was about 5. Duncan said that there should be a thread for SNES, and I totally agreed so I decided to start one

I would like to talk about my favorite SNES game: Super Blades of Steel 2 for snes! The graphics were pretty good for the SNES and the controls were epic. It's one of the very few sports game I actually enjoy (on all consoles). Probably the best part was the boxing >

A close second is Super Contra for snes, but I can't say much about that game that hasn't been said a hundred times... I could talk about dozens of great games, but I would like to hear about everyone else's favorites, least favorites, firsts, rares, wierdests... Anything SNES-related goes!

The original Mario kart is one of the best. Way better than the N64 and GBA ones.

I was born during the videogame crash era, so I was around 10 during the SNES era. My parents wouldn't let me and my bro have a SNES. Friends of mine had a SNES, with Super Mario World and later Donkey Kong Country. Those were awesome games.

Now I am 27 during the Xbox360 era, I have a SNES and spare SNESes, around 130 SNES cardridges and I keep trying to replicate SNESesque games. I blame my parents.

lol... They say mimicry is the greatest form of flattery anyway, I'm glad there's a SNES thread, though I have no memories yet... Anyway, of the games I have, Donkey Kong Country is my favorite. Each level feels like a totally new experience, and there is very little redundancy. While the boss battles could have been a bit more challenging, the normal levels are hard enough. The pre-rendered graphics are amazing, and better than some of those of some later games. And, of course, the music is AMAZING 0_o

The SNES was the golden era for me. Super Mario Kart is so much fun, especially multiplayer even today. MarioKart 64 is just too slow paced in comparison.

Some of my favourites:
Super Mario World
Super Mario All stars
Super Mario Kart
Yoshi's Island
F-Zero
Zelda a link to the past
Sensible Soccer
Star fox
Desert Strike
Donkey Kong Country

Hrrmm, now that you mentioned the SNES era, could you somehow help me on identifying Hill Gigas' theme songs from his past games?

I'd rlly appreciate your support.
