Name your favourite biscuit and drink as a exercise in getting to know the community!
I'll go first. My favourite drink is Coffee, with 3 sugars and milk (my teeth are still OK touch wood, I know people who are terrified of sugar yet have fillings). My favourite biscuits are Bourbon Biscuits, and chocolate digestives.
Discuss and debate the best biscuits and beverages you find aid game creation!
Coffee would have to be a strong Americano with three brown sugars (I work in a coffee shop, so I'm all continental now). Not really into biscuits, much prefer savoury stuff. Seabrook's Crisps are the best.
Straight up coffee (but I drink decaf). I don't eat biscuits/cookies; rather, I work on games between mouthfuls of trail mix, dried fruit (having your own dehydrator helps), or that evening's dinner.
Had some off-brand cheez-its just now. Fake cheese seems to have some sort of creativity stimulating effect on me. Or I could be making that up. Yea, that's probably what's happening.
I will have to concur with Mr Boothman, Seabrook's crisps are indeed awesome. Walkers seem to have to have lost the plot, the bags have about 3 crisps and they do not taste that good anymore, probably terrified of adding salt to them due to the healthy brigade coming down on them - like anything in life too much is generally bad for you so I do get annoyed when companies ruin things to make them "healthier".
Thats a very healthy lifestyle SMR, I did not even know you could buy dyhydrators to make your own dried fruit . I love dried banana chips but I am sure they always coat them in sugar or honey as they always taste unfeasibly sweet. Some time ago I had some yogurt coated dried banana chips - it was over 500 calories in a 100g bag, but dang do they taste good!
I also love Eccle's Cakes, and Scones (with butter and jam), and crumpets (probably my favourite savory snack, along with scotch eggs and pork pies).
If we're talking man's drinks, it's bitter all the way, or any fine traditional ale (Black Sheep is fantastic). Vodka is for junkies, wine is for the French.

Wine for the French? I could've sworn it was Greek / Italian... Okay, so It was first made in Georgia, but whatever... And I assume that means you think most Russians are junkies?
If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program.
The rest of them will write Perl programs.

Ah, yeah banana chips can be fantastic. There's a coating on banana chips to help preserve them; there aren't enough natural sugars to have them keep long after drying with out it.
Haven't actually tried drying bananas yet, but apples, pineapples, strawberries, and even tofu have made it in there with some success. The pineapple is superb, and doesn't have the odd, sugary powder-coating that most store-bought dried pineapple bits have.
I dont really like tofu/bean curd tbh - and I have tried a fair few dishes made with it. The Chinese seem to love the stuff mind, and most of the dishes I have tried have been Chinese ones from genuine Chinese - not Westernised Retuarants.
Cant help thinking when eating a dish with tofu, everything else is really nice and tasty then you bite into this block of tasteless rubber or a block of mush...
My ex was always trying to get me to drink soya milk (becuase of it's "health benefits"), which imo also tastes bloody awful
I realy like Horlicks and Ovaltine in the winter .
For the record real men drink bitter or mild, and eat scratchings.
For MAN DRINKS I'd opt for red wine, some port, a small whiskey and lastly, to top it of, some round cognac. To make the moment oh so sweet - a pipe of either cherry or whiskey flavoured tobacco.
But I'd be NuTs doing all that whilst programming or debugging.
@Dunc: Yes, I live not more than ten miles from Manchester - Rochdale to be exact. Samuel Smith's is also a particular favourite, not only because their beers are lovely, but also because they're only £1.49 a pint. Where do you live?
