Yeah that was good news. I played Blur several times in HMV on their booths, but never decided to buy it - it's a great game, but not something i wanted to rush out and buy; the quick-fix i had at HMV was enough. Their Formula 1 games were some of the best ever though, really capturing my imagination and enthusiasm for the sport and that'll always be the reason i love them most for.
I bought Metropolis Street Racer the other week for the Dreamcast - absolutely fantastic game!
Good work, the Dreamcast is one of the best consoles i own!
eBay all the way for me! Just this morning i received three games that i won in auction; V-Rally 2, Speed Devils and F355 Challenge, all in excellent condition and all for just £10.53 (including P&P). Absolute bargain!

Another UK company biting the dust. All we will have left soon is car washes or fast food joints...
Ebay is awesome . I really wish I had brought a DC when Sega announced they was cancelling it. They was going for like 20 quid in my local town brand new. At the time I as a Nintendo fan boy and a poor student and I was happy enough with my N64 whilst waiting for the GC.
I paid 26 quid for my atari 2600 6 switcher with 20 some odd games, paddle controllers, one real atari joystick and two 3rd party ones. I took a risk at it was "unknown if it was working but it did the last time i used it" but it works flawlessly...
I did get stung on an replacement official joystick though which annoyed me, but at least it was not much money (it turned up but it was rattley and broken, someone had tried gluing the internals back together too). I need to get a joystick interface for my spectrum next...

If you think you are a "gamer" and don't own a dreamcast you're living in a dream.
Its a pity the DC didn't do well. The PS2 was a massive piece of junk when it came out. It is definitely an amazing console now, but for the first few years it was 99% garbage. The dreamcast was lightyears ahead of it, the games were brighter, more fluid, more fun, more original/creative, etc. Sega still churns out some amazing action games now and then on newer consoles as well . . . I wish they would get back into the console market and do well . . . I wonder what it would take.

That's taking it a bit far don't you think? I own a DC (and don't call myself a gamer), and I can only think of 3 good DC games that did not come out on other consoles or PC.

Hmm . . .dunno. The DC didn't last long. Most consoles have god-awful games at the start and it usually takes several years for them to get some really great games.
IMO These games were great
Sonic Adventure 1,2
Power Stone
Skies of Arcadia
Grandia 2
Sega Marine Fishing
Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio
Bangai-O
Crazy Taxi
Ecco The Dolphin
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Typing of the Dead (lol)
MDK2
Phantasy Star Online Ver.2
A lot of people seem to like Ikaruga, but I personally prefer most other manic shooters over it. Shenmue was really popular too. . . I haven't played it. Toy Commander seemed enjoyable, but I only got to play the special christmas edition. Record of Lodoss war is a diablo-esque game that looks pretty damn good. Berserk wasn't bad.
I'm sure I missed quite a few.
A dreamcast is worth owning regardless. They run about $20-$25 with accessories and the games are typically cheap. Not a big investment to be able to play some A+ titles.
holy f!
Bizarre Creations is actually a good name so I am shocked about this and feel sorry for them.
sure blur was SUPER HARD and the timing couldnt have been any worse but still I think its a great game.
seriously the cars are great, the graphics are great, it got a lot of fun concepts- it would be PERFECT if it wasnt that hard.
sadly that disney racing game also came out at the same time (shit second) - i liked it so much that i didn't even finish the first race.
probably they also shouldnt have touched james bond. i didnt dislike blood stone but then i also thought james bond quantum of solace was a FUN GAME and enjoyed it while it was a big flop as well and kind of a disaster so seeing how quantum was a failure i wouldnt have touched a new bond title if a was a company but then on the other hand if they are paid for it and JAMES BOND is a big name - you might reconsider.

That can be said about many games. . . herp derp. Its plenty easy to see the exclusives with a good search.
Many of them came out on DC before they hit other consoles/platforms. The only reason several are no longer exclusives is because sega is no longer in the console business, obviously.
