I think it's a sad thing he had to go but I do believe it is better for this site. Now we can actually talk without half of the people getting pissed off about blocking, deleting and ballistic !!!!!-y newsposts.

rikus is an awesome guy. look at all the stuff he has done. all the time he has dedicated to the click community. if it wasnt for rikus there would be no daily click. so please show some respect.
Wow, didn't know he'd stepped down (Rikus) and that's a shame. It would also explain why a) we haven't seen much from him (d'uh!!) and b) why the Front Page is a little empty (he did used to post quite a bit on there)
Like Flava, Rikus didn't want to make a massive news post or anything, just slip away quietly without a fuss. Although it should be said that this is more of a sabbatical rather than a complete departure from TDC, we probably won't see him for several months, though I don't think it's right that users say nasty stuff behind his back. Like him or loathe him (who would dislike him?) he has contributed an incredible amount to the community. Without him there would (probably) have been no KlikCast, no interactive community site, no Daily Click.
Mr Gadaffi and Rikus shouldn't really be compared together either. It's... what are the words... a bit mean
There was a sort of admin discussion about who should be the new "figurehead" of TDC but we came to the agreement that there will in fact be no direct person in charge. But we're still going to keep things running as best we can, and try and keep things the way Rikus would have wanted.
So yes, things are a little quiet perhaps, I admit. But if you find something thats newsworthy, feel free to submit it to us. The Gamebuilder results haven't been announced yet, but when they are, we will cover them as well. We also have other ideas in the pipeline that may increase interactivity on the site...
True, but he has made a judgement call on leaving TDC; he has his reasons, and I think its fair to be respectful of that. Rikus hasn't been around since 27th March and wants to honour his decision

I do find it sad but there was a hell of a lot of fishyness going on some time ago, much like the "ShadowCaster era". My only complaint with him was meddling with discussions he did not agree with or like.
I wish him all the best in life and in bringing his family up. Most people (myself included) find it hard to juggle hobbies and real life, I have recently retired as an admin on a gaming server due to not having the time anymore.
