Did anyone else have this? It was a rival to the Atari 2600 and one of the first 16-bit systems (although it's inferior to most 8-bit systems) I got mine from a relative after he bought a megadrive/genesis. I had three games for it, although the only really good one was Astrosmash
Other good games included the original pack-in Las Vegas Black Jack & Poker, Thin Ice and one of Mattel's few arcade ports, Burgertime!

Astro Smash was pretty good...But dude, how can you forget SHARK SHARK?!?!? The best Intellivision game out there, hands down. There have been two or three remakes of it with Clickteam products alone in the last 5 years or so.
Then there was the AD&D game where you went through the mountains to find dungeons, searching for the buried treasure and running away from the dragon. The keypad was used to fire arrows at your enemies.
The ColecoVision system had some stand-out games as well. Venture and The Smurfs come to mind. Couldn't find links to Intellivision versions, but they may be out there.
Coleco put out an Intellivision (and Atari 2600) version of Venture, it's pretty good. They also put out a terrible version of Donkey Kong (wtf, Mario is lightblue and where's his moustache?)
Atari put out pretty solid arcade ports of Centipede, Defender, Pac-Man and Dig Dug (Dig Dug wasn't released until INTV Corp. bought the rights for it though)

That's cause bits doesn't really say anything about power.
The GI CP 1610 used in the Intellivision is a 16-bit CPU with a 10-bit instruction set and 8 16-bit registers. It has roughly one and a half kilobyte or RAM (split into system, scratchpad and graphics ram) and a graphics chip capable of displaying 8 sprites that are either 8x8 or 8x16 pixels large and a background consisting of 20x12 8x8 tiles.
Graphically it looks similar to the 2600 but it achieves it very differently. It's more elegant but not quite as flexible.
