I was reading some old forum threads this afternoon for nostalgia, and I realised just how many people I used to recognise on here are missing in action:
Muggus,
JonWoG,
Ashman,
Buster,
Vegenad,
Broomie,
AsparagusTrevor (and his beloved Guinness),
HOSJ,
Shadowcaster,
Pete Nattress,
Paul Jeffries & Heretic EMU,
Teapot,
Seph,
JP,
RapidFlash
And lots more that have escaped my memory. It seems the people that really leave just dissapear or drift away...
On the off chance any MIA oldies still read this site, sign in and say hello .
Not sure about most of them, but I know Ashman and Buster left because of Phizzy, Shadowcaster left because his past caught up with him and Paul Jeffries was chased away by the TDC nazi regime back then.
I think Broomie still posts occasionally. Trevor I think still lurks every once in a while. Pete is on Twitter, don't think he's involved with games stuff any more.
Muggus: I have no idea where he went.
JonWoG: The same
Ashman: Became an admin for a short period of time, but we sacked him. Shortly afterwards he disappeared too.
Buster: No idea where he went
Vegenad: Don't remember him
Broomie: I see him a lot on Xbox Live, think he still pops in from time to time.
AsparagusTrevor: He posts once in a blue moon, I think.
HOSJ: Barely remember him
Shadowcaster: I don't know why he left, always heard stories but I admit I don't know why he left.
Pete Nattress: Left TDC admin team to concentrate on his writing. He has a website - http://www.thenatflap.co.uk/ which is updated quite a bit
Paul Jeffries and Heretic EMU: Paul disappeared, but the other Heretic EMU guy is still around in the form of Dustin Gunn.
Teapot: I think he's still about from time to time.
Seph: I remember him but haven't seen him in yonks
JP: If you mean JohnsProgram, he's busy at www.acoders.com working on Joe Snow.
RapidFlash: I remember him quite well but don't know what he's up to.
Other klikkers I can think of:
DBack: Oldbie who hasn't been here for years.
Hamish: I think he's at MoonPod.
Brad/Akira: Of Natomic fame, I think he pops in occasionally but generally doesn't hang around a lot
DeathReaperX: Sadly passed away in 2006
Nash: Made a return a year or so ago, but has disappeared again
Andi Smith: Guy behind The Free Games Factor and Planet Klik, I see him around on Xbox Live a bit
Jannis Stoppe: Klik-Me editor and creator of Entrance Gate. No idea where he went to.
Zellix: Mr Malibus creator. He was about in the early days but disappeared.
Mark Pay: I think he distanced himself from TDC, and I think he moved to France from England.
Zenith: I remember him, but never really figured out where he went
Felan: Maker of Clancy Diamond. Where is he now?
Lazarus: Evil Kitty game, plus other games that looked quite similar. He disappeared a few years ago
Snerlin of Neonair: Creator of the Mode7 racing game Neonair Racing (which I didn't like, but was quite a feat). Entered the occasional Xmas competition but disappeared.
SKN03: Still around though doesn't visit TDC much. Working at www.acoders.com
Quadamage: Helped me with a platform engine but where has he gone?
Kris Allen: Not at TDC any more but I speak to him on Facebook
Spydaman: Sadly abandoned Gemini Ninja Godo. I believe he got chatting to a ladyfriend on MSN and eventually met up with her, I think they're happily married now.
Citizenklik: Has more or less left the klik scene but still see him on Facebook.
HiredGun: Desolation Click stalwart. I miss that site.
Darksun: Creator of Triumph! War 2039
Darkjune: had a site at Homestead. Gah.
Mohr Stoutbeard: Also wrote at Desolation Click but not seen since.
Caderay: Creator of the Klik Top 40 page a while back, and also head of the former Left Behind Inc. Where is he now?
Nobuyuki: I swear I saw him on Gwerdy a while ago.
Danjo: I don't think he likes TDC

What kind of black magic is this?
By the way, if you guys are wondering where I went, you can relax because I'm right here.

That Really Hot Chick
now on the Xbox Live Marketplace!
Shadowcaster was 'busy' with some uni stuff a while back. I think he's got a job by now, but probably isn't into klik anymore.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Another one: RyGuy - what happened to him? His Caveworm game was brilliant.
Chris "Dines" still posts here sometimes I think. I remember his comic series he started but never continued, "Harrington Place" was it called?
Whatever happened to Circy?
(Oh, and Shab; stop deleting my posts, or I shall have to discipline you.)
Egads, show yourself nameless admin, or may the farts of a million vegetarians forever haunt your abode!
I agree @ the campness, I suspect the person in question maybe a soft… sissy… girlie… nancy… French… bender… Man United supporting POOF, that longs for Shadowcaster.
Place your bets on moderation time gentlemen . I hope someone gets where this tirade comes from.
I edited the first two. Mostly because you were being a complete tool and breaking the rules of this site. Stop playing the victim and crying like one of my kids (who are under the age of 6 btw). No idea who did the last one.
I still keep in touch with my game creation group from back in the day and a few others via Twitter/Facebook.
I'd like to chat to Axel & David Blackwell again especially. Great, talented guys who just sort of vanished one day. Would be nice to know what the other faind guys are up to now (gustav? cald?)
Attacking users
All registered users should have the right to enjoy the forums in a safe environment. Personal attacks are not acceptable within the forum environment, and administrators have the right to lock or remove any posts that are deemed to be attacking a particular individual or group.
Vulgarity
Using bad language on the forums should be avoided if possible. Although we may allow mild bad language in some areas, if an administrator feels that the bad language is getting out of control or is innapropriate, then they have the right to remove your post and your right to post on the forums.
Why thank you for pointing me to the rules, where I could quote both the rules that were broken.
Attacks for the first post, vulgarity on the second. Mine could be considered a personal attack on you, so I'll even edit that post and give myself a warning.
Also, I have no access to the Admin account. Truth be told I didn't realize that account existed.
Last thing I heard about David Blackwell was that he was in a band with Eric Vaughn. Eric Vaughn you may or may not remember from Plasticow (see the timeline 2002). Eric had 15 minutes of worldwide acclaim (or hatred depending on your religious and political views) in 2008 with his klik game 'Muslim Massacre.' (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_Massacre:_The_Game_of_Modern_Religious_Genocide )
Ben Berntsen, of Chaos Gate fame, works at Gameloft. You can follow him on Twitter: @ben2theedge .. I think Stephen Davis (Spydaman) still does Sonic fan comics at: http://www.stconline.co.uk Andi works at AKQA. Mark Pay is still in the UK and still posts on the forums on http://www.thespiritengine.com - most recently this month.
Adrian Bauer (Yaen) and Blake Edwards (from Natomic) went on to D-Pad Studios. Blake isn't listed on the members page anymore. But it looks like Owlboy for XBLA should be out soon. -- http://www.roflgames.com/DPadWebsite
And of course Derek Yu and Andy Hull (Retarded Goat Hunter) are in the hipster west coast independent gaming scene making Spelunky for XBLA.
I haven't made a game in about 8 years. But, I always think about getting back into it. I'm a web developer at an online promotions company and if I do make a game again, it will probably be in HTML5.
