YES! Lets hear about:
TWISTED METAL
SOUL CALIBUR V
SFvsTEKKEN
TEKKENTAG2
KINGDOM HEARTS 3D
THE LAST GUARDIAN
LoZ SKYWARD SWORD
SKYRIM
VERSUS XIII RELEASE DATE?
MASS EFFECT 3
DARK SOULS
TIMESPLITTERS 4
ETC.
I'm interested to see more about Cafe and Vita, but unless they unveil a peripheral that toasts bread while you slice it (or a beautiful new HD Zelda), I probably won't get either at launch.
I'm most looking forward to hearing about Paper Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS, Sly Cooper 4 (hopefully), and some good new 3DS games. And a Skyward Sword release date.
What do you think of this rumor that the Cafe's screen can simulate certain textures? I've been seeing some research stuff on Engadget about that sort of thing, so it's not impossible.
Is Vita that "vitality sensor" (stick it on your finger and it measures your pulse) or something new I haven't heard of? I guess it's useful in case grandpa has a heart attack while playing wii sports.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
I'm so excited, I have wet myself. Wait a minute, that's not wee!
Being serious, I lost interest in the commercial video gaming industry pretty much in the PS2/GC/Xbox era. I still play a very select few modern games, but modern games are not the same IMO (too damn easy for a start).
Oh and to add to Hayo's comment, music died in 1977
Yeah, I'm going to join the old fogey group and say I'm not excited. Most of the stuff on E3 aren't really that great when you play them. I've found all of them to be not as good as advertised. I mean, hey, the Wiimote was as boring as IRC. XBox Kinect was boring. The only good 'play with a weird controller' game was Guitar Hero.
Most of the games I like are more likely to be spotted at Tigsource than E3.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.

Guitar Hero was awful, wtf?
Ninja Gaiden 3 is probably what I'm most looking forward to .
i was gonna say after i saw everyone is excited this thread is lacking the average "fuck the world. i hate everything" comment I eventually got used to on here so I felt like I had to post one just to be a troll but the delightful Dutchman doesn't disappoint

anyways whats Project Cafe and Vita. all i know is that there will be wii 2 but that might be either Project Cafe or Vita.
personally I am VERY excited about gamescom because I go there every year but then everyone of you is a racist and the world suffers from xenophobia so fuck Europe's biggest gaming event since it takes place in germany
btw i still care about ngp but i dont know what news there could be about it.
so yes i think the ngp looks awesome. what is vita? is that the code name or was ngp the code name and its gonna be called vita now or what? seriously i think psp2 would have just been fine. we have ps1,ps2 and ps3 so why not do the same with the psp? it would be just a logical step. i am VERY sure i will get a ngp but i bet the lunch titles won't be good and it will be EXPENSIVE AS FUCK like I bet 600 euros maybe. so yeh sony will once again "fail" at least in the western world. notice how popular the psp is in asia while people in the west don't care too much.
well great hardware costs money but if you just wait it will be cheaper and you will get good games so yeh i guess i will touch a ngp in 2013 oh dear :S
ive to say rage looks pretty awesome. im excited.
the graphics of dead island are very very pretty but sadly it looks boring as hell :C
we are gonna see what m$ is up to in 1 day and 17 hours but i dont think there will be any big news. maybe some new kinect games or something but that will be all. do you really think there is gonna be a big surprise coming from m$? maybe they will add some more to live like they added facebook and last.fm but who really cares?
Well, Microsoft have a two-hour time slot for their press conference, which is half an hour more than Sony and twice the length of Nintendo's (and we know what they're doing already), so I sure hope they have something up their sleeve.
Both Sony and Microsoft's conferences were a disappointment in my opinion. Microsoft's had way too much Kinect, and Sony's didn't really have any huge surprises.
"Project Café" is actually "Wii U"... Intuitive.
The new Wii gets loads of titles like new Tekken, new Metro, new Ghost recon etc. (For people who previously disliked the Wii)
Microsoft had sequels everywhere,
Halo 4
Forza 4
Gears 3
Fable 3
Also everything seems to revolve around kinect. I think it's stupid, kinect is gonna die within a year.
I just saw the trailer in 3D from the Nintendo eShop, and it has so much new stuff compared to the jump from Wild World to City Folk/Let's Go to the City.
-For one, you can swim and dive.
- you can change your shoes (like legit change, from sneakers to boots or no shoes at all for example, as opposed to the shoe shine/color change from the Wii game)
- you can hang things higher on your wall
- parties (those events from Wild World where you and two other animals could be in a house at the same time) from Wild World are back
- the town seems to be more dynamic in layout (lampposts for one and a beach around a cliff with a dock that extends longer and has a corner in it in the ocean as examples)
- animals run at the same speed as yourself now and they can follow you
- there are forests (as in large areas more densely populated by trees)
- there are flower bushes (like bushes with flowers in them, the cube kind, not the large flat round ones from the Gamecube game)
- you can put up tents in the forest (or your house can be a tent in the forest)
- there are more kinds of outdoor fixtures (such as a box of some sort and a bench).
I've never been more excited for an Animal Crossing game.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the Wii U. Looks like it could work and be really cool, but I'm not totally convinced I need one yet. The prospect of getting the same games as the 360 and PS3 is nice.
I look forward to Skyward Sword and those 3DS games.

Yes, and those people already have a 360 or PS3, why would they buy a new system that plays the same games they can play on their current system?
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
good lord... i don't even... that controller is too big and why would i want a screen? the controller can also be a portable device? so there is a lot of hardware in it or how exactly does it work?
I think that Nintendo was trying to answer the question, "So how can we have a competitive multiplayer game, but have everyone - friends, family - together in the same room to entertain themselves?" The "tag" game and the shooter game are tech demos, a baseline foundation for expanding on this concept. For example, I can easily imagine a "Dungeon Keeper" type game, where several players are working together to defeat all the monsters, while another player uses the WiiU to summon monsters, set traps, and hide their treasure.
The issue of "privileged information" seems to be solved by including the screen with the controller. It's only a matter of time before they implement 3D games that augment the television as well as the WiiU controller (if they haven't already).
I'm personally not interested in buying any consoles (I don't even have a television), although I'm excited to see so many innovations. I wonder if they'll catch on.
The controller isn't a stand-alone device. The images on that little screen are streamed from the WiiU.
I love the idea. Even its most basic function - being able to keep playing when someone wants to watch TV - is worth it to me. Anyone who shares a TV at home will appreciate this! I liked Nintendo's depiction of this situation, where someone obnoxiously walks into the room, remote in hand, and announces "it's time to watch baseball" and switches the channel.
Back on track: i've not looked at the E3 coverage properly yet, though i'm curious to see more on Skyrim, Forza 4, UFC Personal Trainer and a few others. That WiiU sounds different, so that'll be interesting to find out more about
I haven't seen much of the E3 material, but this looks quite neat.
I can't believe the things Nintendo are trying to push as "features"
- Continue playing without using the TV. Ok, this may be useful for a 12 year old. But utterly pointless to people who has their own TV and is man enough to say "no, go watch baseball on the bedroom tv"? Besides, who wants to play their next gen console on a 6 inch screen anyway?
- Drawing on the controller. Been done on the DS already.
- Play only on the new controller. Ok, I can't see any advantage over using an actual reversi set, which is probably cheaper as well.
- Motion controls. Been done to the death already.
- Use new controller to weigh yourself on Wii Fit without using the TV. Once again, I can't see any advantage over using bathroom scale, which once again is cheaper.
- Telescope-sight. Nintendo saves you from pressing the L-button (or whatever button it is, I haven't played Call of Duty in ages) to bring up the sniper scope.
- Pad for launching shurikens. I'm pretty sure I've seen a Kinect game that does this without a pad.
- Video calls. When 3G phones this was hyped as a major feature. I don't know anyone who actually used their phone to make video calls.
- Magnifying glass. Ever heard of a zoom button?
- Use for launching media. Ok, putting meatspin on the TV while your relatives are dining would be hilarious.
- Use for an inventory screen and such. Been done already by the DS.
Disclaimer: This commentary is meant to be taken humorously and is not intended to make you butthurt, although if it does I'll laugh at you for taking a video game so seriously.

Um, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, anyone? Since the original had so many horrible flaws and weaknesses, and yet is STILL considered one of the best games ever, a game that fixes those problems and makes everything better would surely be a major contender for GOTY/GOTD(ecade).
Don't aim for perfection- you'll miss the deadline
'~Tom~ says (16:41):
well why does the custom controls for the keyboard palyer even affect the menu controls at all whats thep oint jsutm ake it so for the keyboard palyer on the menu screens everything is always up down left right enter regardless of the controls they set'
All I'm interested in is Skyrim, the new Deus Ex, Mass Effect 3, and possibly Skyward Sword (though I don't have a wii here at the moment). Skyrim is at the top of the list, they've improved so much and I like a lot of the changes. Dragons look nothing short of amazing. With any luck it wont need any updates or mods to be decently playable!
lol, techno kitten adventure was at E3. Obviously the most important thing about E3.

now on the Xbox Live Marketplace!
To be honest, haven't took time to learn anything about this E3 coverage at all. But by reading the post you guys have said, I would say the nintendo 3DS interest me the most. Mainly because it features additions to some of my favorite series; Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing. Love both those series
But 3DS would have to be a really cheap game system in order for me to buy it simply for the sake of those 2 games Maybe they should make a version that only plays games and none of those other features I can just buy and ipod...
Can't wait for the release of Gears of War 3. Loved the first two in the series.
As I say this, I'm staring at a bottle of 'Snot Gulp: Sinus Flavor'. LOL.
I used to go to E3, let's say, a few years back. The Snot Gulp is actually just some bottled water with a funny label... a giveaway from E3 for one of the new games that was coming out. I'll give you a hint as to the name of the "new game." The bottle was made by "Rupture Farms".
If you can guess the game, I'll try to post a picture.

@ Andy - Yep! I used to go to E3! And, I have to say, it was simply awesome (for numerous reasons). At the time I went, you got to chat with the developers about their games. I remember to talking to an excited group of guys who had "heavilly modded" the Quake engine to make their game. They were most excited about the AI characters that would follow you around and help out your character. The game? Half-Life.
@ Hagar - Exactly! I talked to the Oddworld Inhabitants guys (mostly their artists I think) about the game. They had a mini-theatre setup so that you could watch the opening sequence of the game. That game has more style than most games made today. Really an artistic achievement. I enjoyed it so much that I recently bought a book containing the artwork for the game. I picked up the bottled water at their E3 booth. I thought it was so cool that I never opened it. It's still sealed today.
@ Nim - Good old Rupture Farms! Who's hungry for a Paramite Pie!
If you've never seen the game, here's a video of the opening... including the cool menus. I love it because it builds the "mood" for the game even before you start.
Here are some pictures of the bottle:
I have bigger pictures if you want to see the "fine print."
I think I have all the requisite "geek pictures" from my E3 days, too. You know... pictures of me with Laura Croft, Duke Nukem, etc. I'm a little more hesitant to post those, though.

I gotta ask, was this early enough in her career that Laura Croft would be played by Angelina Jolie If so, you should really post Or did they ever get her to pose as a model for E3 I wonder?
@ Wiiman - This would have been somewhere around 1997-1999 (Pre Angelina Jolie).
@ Marko - I think it may have been Nell. I need to dig up those photos can confirm that. The quality of my E3 pictures is pretty low but I should be able to tell. I remember my Duke Nukem was taken with some sort of early digital camera that you could insert a 3˝-inch floppy disk into. The pictures were taken and passed out by his two extremly hot escorts.
One amusing thing about the picture with picture with the Laura Croft model. There were two announcers (a man and a woman) on the stage trying to organize the mass of men (largely made up of staff from other development companies that I recognized and had talked to at various booths). They were all surging toward the stage - all hoping to get a picture with the model. It was actually a really funny sight. What I remember about it was that once I got on the small stage, the female announcer told the male announcer that she was a Playboy playmate. She laughed because she said she had never "dissapared" before in a crowd of men. Meaning -- no one... and I mean no one was looking at her. Everyone was staring at the girl doing a bit of cosplay as Laura Croft. Hilarious.
Wow, are you kidding? I honestly think the Wii is the console that I've had the most enjoyment with of any console I've ever owned. I know it's a piece of crap technically but it has some great games.
