This isn't a klik related question but I feel safe and warm in this forum and put a bullet through my face if you have a problem with that.
You know in Photoshop how in "blending options" you can apply a drop shadow? Can you cast a "drop light"? So that it lights up the surrounding area instead of darkening it. I know you can use "Outer Glow", but with an "Outer Glow" you cannot change the distance and direction like you can with a "Drop Shadow".
Pretty much I just want to make a layer light up the area below it. Any ideas?
Thanks everybody!

Use a Drop Shadow, but change the Blend Mode of it to Lighten instead of Multiply and choose a light colour like white. Experiment with the other Blend Modes too.
