What was the story from a game that really impressed you?. Story's that had had wonderfull surprizes and dramatic endings. A story that really made you think? And what kind of game has the best storyline? And what kind of story makes a good game?
I havent played too many of the real good story following games. But i can say thet one I liked was ff3. But I'm mainly looking for klik game storyes you liked.
But the story from a klik game I liked was... futer fantasy. I think that RPG's make the best story line game. And the best kind of story I think for a game is one that starts off with one person. than gains allyes. and save the people from the bad guy together.
Tell me what you think? But not what you think about my spelling.
I've gotta say that the story of 2 of my favourite games really impresed me, Deus Ex and System Shock 2...
Basically the story is good because it evolves in boths games as you play through the action, and everyone once in a while more pieces of the plot will be revealed through messages and cutscenes.
The main thing that impressed me with both plots in these games are the expected and impressive twists in the game, which basically change the whole game around...i'm not gonna reveal what they are in these games, but it's definately welcomed and generates interest.
People could learn alot from the plots of these games people!

the best click game storyline i've seen was Butterfly 660's. very solid and original.
as for pro games, i think that Doom's storyline was one of the best i've ever seen. they managed to cleverly build up the lead role throughout the game, and all those other characters really helped the overall plot. truly inspirational.
seriously though, Half Life's story was killer. although i suppose the sucess wasnt as much the story itself, rather the way it was told.
Butterfly 660 had a great storyline, with some genuinely surprising twists.
Granstream and FFX spoilers ahead.

For commercial games, Granstream Saga had perhaps the biggest plot twist ever - it pretends to be a really typical Japanese RPG for nearly the whole game (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, all that) then you think you've completed it only to find out that the whole world was an illusion.
Best story in a klik game? I dunno. Only thing decent I've seen is in Eternal Daughter.
Best in a real game? I'd go for Mafia. It was pretty touching ending in a nice moral, especially since the gameplay was so well made that you'd actually get attached to the characters.

I know it's stereotypical, but my favorite storyline in a commercial game has to be Final Fantasy VII. I really feel for all of the characters, and they're lives mean something to me on a level that videogames shouldn't.
As for Klik games, I guess I'm going to have to choose Factor X. The whole time agent thing was pretty cool. I haven't played Future Fantasy, but if what everybody says is true, I'll have to check it out.
