I would like to open Putty from within my application, but via its shortcut. (reason being - Putty can be installed in different folders on various computers, but I always need to be able to open it from my application)
Trouble is, even if I set the directory to AppDrive$+AppDir$ or Apppath$ and run application with the shortcut name - it doesn't work - well it did one time and that was it.

Any help in accomplishing this would be greatly appreciated.

I have not tried it, but if you just referenced the filename of the shortcut with no file extension, try referencing the shortcut name with .ink after it since .ink is the windows shortcut file extension.
