I don't. I haven't played Treasure Adventure Game, or Gun Girl 2, or Duel Toys 2.
Does anyone else just skip over everything? I'm more into watching movies these days honestly, so I wonder who actually goes on here regularly just to play games.
I'll play and enjoy console games quite a bit, not every day, but most days. Even if it's just a 10 minute session on a Virtual Console game in an evening. I find games fun to play, but more important to me than that, is that I find games interesting. They often spark new ideas in my mind.
For the last 5-6 years of my life I've seen movies as a waste of time. I feel really guilty if I sit and watch a film for 2-3 hours as I fel I could have achieved something. Like work on a project, or made progress in a video game. You could arge that playing a game is a waste of time, too, but as I said video games seem to help my creativity.
As for TDC games, I don't play them. This is because 90% of the time when I'm on here I'm on the iMac, meaning I can't run them. If I'm on Windows though of course I'll give them a shot.
I find I have less and less time for video games on the computer nowadays. Whenever I play a game on the PC, it's usually one of two things:
- part of an example I can use to learn how to do something for one of my own MMF2 projects.
- a game in a genre I personally prefer: retro (including emulation), shmups, or tower defense.
Generally, I'm using a PC much more for work-related tasks as opposed to gaming.
My partner and I play games on our XBox360 much more often, because she and I can have a co-op game much easier in that format than on PC. We wind down at night before bedtime with a few casual-style games.
As for the top 3 games on TDC at the moment: I like one of them, didn't like the other and put it down fairly soon, and sucked at the third. But I did at least have a go at each of them.
I play the games when I can, which is like never. It's kind of depressing, especially if this is the only place people post stuff. It's a shame how inactive this site is. I like it, it's nice and quiet, but definitely not a good place to go if you want a bunch of people to see your work.
I always receive a lot of hits when I release flash content. Even my purposely bad game received a lot of plays. Not from this site of course, but honestly that's not why I'm here.
If your game is worth playing you should advertise on more forums, but this community is nice for helping beginners I find.
Hmm, I think I only downloaded one finished game here, and I don't think it was even made with click software. I also downloaded a handfull of demos/wips. I do check the project page almost daily to see what everyone is up to.
