Hi all,
I just wanted to quickly say hello. I logged back in to ask for helping on coding over this thing that has been busting my butt all day but hooray I've managed to figure out a way around it so everything is awesome.
But since I'm here a lot of you will not remember me, but I have been using ClickTeam products since 98 and released my best game to date, Flocking Hell, in 2006.
I got a lot of good pointers here, basic stuff like making my own custom platform movement etc and got to work on a sequel, Get Flocked for release in 2007. However I got a girlfriend and so stopped making games after 7 years.
Now two kids later I'm back making games this time to release on the iphone and android market.
I'm using all the stuff I had been working on for the sequel and a bunch of other really neat stuff too. At the moment It's under the working title of Flocking Hell Reloaded as it's a retelling and not a straight sequel.
Anyway thought I'd say hi. I really like this site and was so proud when my game got reviewed in the magazine, even if it did only get 4/10. I'm working to get a lot better reviews this time around - it's a wonderful process seeing all your gaming flaws and working on them
Working on a new handle/website/games company identity as well that's all coming in the next month or so...
Simon

Welcome back! I wish I could say I remember you but I don't.
I've been around this site since 05 or so, but I registered in 08.
What is your game about?

Hi Urban Monk. Thanks for the reply.
The game is a reworking of the below link which was rightly torn a new one by this community in 2006.
http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=6077
There's a completely new playable character and a new feel to the game and (thinking positively) much improved gameplay. In the original there were 13 different enemies; not that people got to see more than two or three types because of early levels that didn't exactly showboat the fun
I was working on a sequel in 2007 that never got released, so I'm taking all those bad guys and probably doing a few more to get to about 20. The important thing though has been the reworking of the new character. Much more fan and I think displays a lot more effort.
It has the working title of "Flocking Hell: REVISITED" but I might change that before posting it up here.
Cheers for asking

Well since the download link and screenshots are gone all I know is that it is a platformer from the description.

It's probably a blessing you can't play the game.
Here is the 'teaser trailer' for the follow up game with screenshots of the original. A bit cringe-worthy but gives you an idea.

Anyone viewing the above please excuse the use of the music, obviously I won't be using copyrighted music in my new game.

Ah, ok I understand. You wouldn't want to play any of my early games either.
Besides your choice of music the game seems interesting, of course there isn't any gameplay. I'll keep my eye on it.
Did you know you can start a project page here on TDC?
http://www.create-games.com/projects.asp
Then people can follow your progress assuming you keep us updated.
Do you have the iOS and Android exporters yet? If not I highly recommend you get them before you start development. You really need to test your game on the devices themselves to be sure everything is working correctly, and that it's actually fun on a touch screen.

I have the Flash exporter, and I highly recommend it. As I don't have an iOS or Android device, this one exporter works for me so far. Plus, it's quite affordable and offers plenty of options for spreading your games around 'them Interwebs.'

Hey guys.
I've got MMF2 Developer and the iOS exporter, looking to get the Android one too shortly.
I'm excited about getting to the point of playing the game on my device as well.
s-m-r thanks for your imput as well, I've got to consider how I might else put the games out there.
I will do a project page at some point, I did have this for the sequel but as I'm going to rebrand myself soon I'll wait until then.
