So i have a game ive been working on for some time that had gotten broken and i had to restart the project. the build is now completely different and everything works great. i want to upload the new version of the game, but i dont want to take the old version down. can i just submit it as a separate download or will i need to take the old version down? they have the same name and same concept just completely different mechanics etc.

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that, as long as the two versions are significantly different (it's not like the files are actually hosted by TDC). I'd suggest you put a note in the descriptions of each game though, redirecting people from one to the other.

If it were me, I'd probably just edit all the info on the download page of the old version, so it now relates to the new version (that way you don't lose any of the comments/ratings/etc) - but include a download link to the old version in the description.
